Supernatural Thread: Volume 2 (Spoilers in this thread)

I LOVED that they played Carry On My Wayward Son at the beginning. It had been so long since we heard it on the show, it felt right having it back for the end of the Kripke years. I als agree with everyone who said that using the Impala as the unifying force for the boys was a really nice touch.

What did everyone think about the end? I take it that it was Sam standing outside Lisa's place looking in, but he looked angry to me? Like while he made Dean promise to start a new life he didn't really want him too? I suppose that all depends on who was actually in control as he flew into the Pit and who was standing at the light. Since the Apocalypse was stopped, I'm thinking it was actually Sam and he was rewarded for his sacrifice.

Maybe he is God? that makes little to no sense though.

Persoanlly, if we ever do see God I want it to be either Alanais Morrissette or Joss Whedon.😛 An awkward, quippy Joss!God! would be hilarious.

This episode was okay. The epic battle we've been waiting an entire season for was nothing but a conversation. Not only that, but it was between Lucifer/Sam and Michael/some random Winchester we've only seen in two episodes. It would have had more of an impact if it was Dean and Sam having it because what they were saying mirrored what they went through as brothers. But having Dean swoop in and help save the day was great too.

I'm also not happy that the Lucifer storyline is over. I feel like he has so much more potential. They didn't explore enough of him, what he can do, and what he's capable of. They should have made him the Big Bad for two seasons like they did with Azazel in season 1 and 2 and Lillith in season 3 and 4. The way they got rid of him was entirely too easy. Now that Lucifer is gone, what the hell are they gonna have top him as the ultimate evil? I feel like the only thing that can be more of a threat than Lucifer is if Sam himself goes evil. They have been hinting at it ever since the show first started. The way the episode ended also seems to point that direction. He did look kind of pissed.

I did like the fact that Bobby and Castiel came to help even though they knew they were pretty much worthless. "Hey assbutt!" had me on the floor. But the laughter went away when Castiel was blown to chunks. I did not see that coming. Bobby's death wasn't much of a shocker. I was expecting him to die anyway. Castiel coming back and getting his wings back was a good moment. He did give up everything to help stop the apocalypse so it's great that he got rewarded for it. I think Bobby should have stayed dead. Having casualties would have made the apocalypse more real.

The Chuck thing, I don't buy the whole "he was a prophet and told his story so he goes to heaven" theory. I think he might have been God.
 
I don't know Kean, Sam did not look mad to me. But when I first saw him standing there I thought I've seen that look before. Then it hit me...Cas.
Cas had that same emotionless look on his face so I think Sam is being occupied by Michael.
Adam was already dead and without a soul so when he went into the pit his part as a vessel fell apart. So I'm thinking Lucifer and Michael fought for control of Sam as a vessel.
But Michael obeyed his father and fought Lucifer but ended up where he shouldn't have been so God stepped in put Mikey in Sam and brought him topside.
But if Cas is the new sheriff in heaven then Mike is nothing more then a foot soldier and he could be pissed at Dean for interfering with his destiny to fight Lucifer and hold onto his status as the leader of Gods army. Could be an interesting start to season 6. Michael laying a beating on Dean, like Lucifer did.
Which reminds me if a guy takes that many shots to the jaw shouldn't Dean of spit out some chicklets? I mean come on you face looks like it fought the puree setting on the blender but you didn't loose one tooth!?!?!?

I had a feeling it was going to be a season of "mopping up the mess". Crowley is definitely going to be in the mix and the two remaining Horsemen are probably going to want the rings back.
I'm hoping that Bella (from season 3) comes back. We did not see her death and Crowley did brag about being the King of the Crossroads and Bella had a deal with him and the colt might have bought her way out of her contract?
 
I hope that they make Death quite a significant part of S6. He's on the loose, free of Satan's shackles & I've had this weird feeling about him ever since he was so insistant that Sam take a swan dive into the pit. Why the hell was that his only condition for giving Dean his ring? Just seems a bit suspicious to me. A lot of people have been wondering how they can top an all-out scrap against the Devil himself, well they could do worse than a war against the actual Death. Death, it seems, is the most powerful being that they have ever encountered (what with his revelation that he will one day reap God) & I suspect he may have had something to do with Sam's return.
 
Don't forget Pestilence is still on the loose as well.
If I understood the 'conversation' Dean had with Death over a slice of deep dish pizza Lucifer had a spell on Death to keep him shackled in hell and he said earth was barely out of it's diapers compared to all the other galaxy's that need his services. That said Death would be cool if Death did spring Sam but I would rather see a season of mopping up instead of a season story arc involving Death and Pestilence.
Kripke isn't with the show anymore so if the writers who took over the reins are smart they go for more goofing around episodes then serious. Mrs TT and her group of gals are tired of the doom and gloom. They want to see their cutie-pie guys having fun.
 
Okay, so I just started watching SPN again and have fallen in love all over again. I didn't read this thread because I'm still only on the second to last disc of Season 4, but please, please tell me Ruby dies? I can't stand her.

I'm back in all my Supernatural-loving glory. Be prepared. It's gonna get ugly.
