Congrats again, AC! 🙂

Well our evening together is just about over BB, and now it's time to present our final pick of the Top Five Moments of the Buffies. This pick we thought stood out against the rest of our "moments" and was just too darned cute to pass up. It was an unexpected award result back in Year Two that made even the most hardened of members crack a smile. From the Buffies three years ago, here it is:

Thanks and before we find out the winner for the Lil' Pumpkin Belly Award we have 3 very special awards to give out tonight!

We have had somewhat of a baby boom over the last few months, and we wanted to welcome our newest BB members to the fold by presenting them with their very own Honorary Lil' Pumplin Belly award, for being, the teeniest, cutest members we have!

Congratulations to Abbie - Foi's[Nixs] little girlie, Ryan - Slayergals newest addition and Georgia, the little darlin' in Jenny's life

Slayergal can't be with us tonight, but she sent us this message earlier:-

THANK YOU EDB!! MR. P!! And to everyone for making my lil' pumpkin belly an honorary cutest lil' pumkin belly!!!! I mean I think she is just the cutest thing ever..but I'm Momma! And luckily the little diva just woke up from a very lengthy nap and would like to say a few words! *shakes head* she's going to be just impossible now.

WOW an award for lil' ole me? You guys have great taste! I wanna thank my mommy for letting me watch Buffy. Cause we all know that Buffy-watchers are the smartest and bestest people in the whole world! And for catering to my every whim (that's her job right?) But mostly for the Buffy thing.

And a big thank you for everyone who thinks I'm cute! All of the wonderful members of Buffy-Boards who are also the smartest and bestest in the world!!!

Backstage at the Buffies is always so interesting, odd that the mods have to wear football boots...

Anyway, We're coming up to the last award of the night, and what a night it's been!

We have a very special presenter coming on now to present the Dorm award, for anyone who isn't aware we have the 4 great houses of Buffy Boards; Drogyn, Vahala H'nesh, Merrick and Raiden. Members can apply to the Sorting Tome to be placed into a house, and the Sorting Tome, a wise and mystical book that holds all of BB's secrets, bonds you to a house and a group of friends like no other.

Through out the year the members of those houses compete with each other in competitions that test your artistic, creative and logic skills, to earn their respective houses points, which go towards crowning a house with the House Cup.

And here to do just that, someone everyone in a house has talked to once, but who they've never had a conversation with it's"¦.

The Sorting Tome!

 

[The Sorting Tome]

:: **~~ a puff of smoke takes over the stage as the bright lights of the BB Theatre dim. A crack of thunder startles the audience as our next special presenter emerges onto the stage. Clad in its familliar red leather "suit" and sporting a bow tie for the occation, our honoured guest glides up to the microphone and takes an ominous glance over the audience. ~~**::


"The Tome has emerged from its sacred cove, travelled through lands of ancient ruin and magiks to be here to honour thy brethren. To present thee proud warriors with a trophy destined for only the most honourable among thou.


A great many moons ago, yore ago betwixt the age of avatars..... when demons and trolls ruled the land and thy plain was impeeched with darkness and dispair; four great powers travelled to the cove of mystics. With drive and loyalty, intelligence and patience, they came together and besought the force to forge the homes in which ye reside. To teach and train those who come not in vain. Now, as time has fallen upon a new era in thy realm of the great heroes, the spirits of the Great Four watch over thee inside the walls of thou destined homes.


Ye have all come forth to that cove, and steeled thyself for the ancient selection of the Four. All have proved in loyalty and nobility, however only one house's brethren hath the durst to be honoured this eve. Ye fere have besought the Tome's great company, requested that I shall annouce which house hath been named the winner of ten years past two thousand, and who will gain the much-prized house cup. Who hath participated along with its fellow houses and succeeded in the most challenges to win thy golden house points. The winner of thy 2010 Dorm Award, you ask? So it shall be!...."

"A member of the great house may now come forth and steel thyself for.... erm.... thy may now say a phrase or two on behalf of Vahla Ha'nesh... I call upon thee: InsaneMystic!"

Whoa guys & gals, that's something I wasn't expecting. And I don't mean us winning the House Cup - we all knew that was gonna happen, right? 😉 - but that it'd be li'l old me standing here tonight.

Well, I'll start reading off HisMrs' thanks speech (you rock, hun. *hugs our beloved but sadly already absent prefect* )

*runs up to the stage, arms thrown up in the 'raise the roof' motion*
WOOT WOOT!!!! Yeah, baby, VH ROCKS!! We always knew we were the best house on the boards... After all, we are home of the VH Secret Handshake, The Vahla Ha'Nesh Hero Squad, and more... Our women are wicked and our men are gentlemen, and we couldn't be prouder to wear this crest! And to all y'all out there who like to hate??

*dusts her shoulders off*

So that makes VH home of the House Cup the third year running. I've not known my dorm without the trophy, and I'm glad I'm not getting to see it now. Thanks to all my wonderful dormies, to our wonderful prefects we've had and have - AS, Moz, Aly, and HisMrs - and of course thanks to my lovely shipmate FakeShemp. Look, here I'm standing in your shoes now accepting a VH trophy! *beams with pride*

VH rocks your socks off, guess we've more than proven that tonight. VHHS forever! 😎

That's all for this year everyone! Congratulations again to all of our nominees (who succeeded in making the judging tougher than ever 😉) and of course to our winners; the awards are definitely well-deserved. Give yourself a round of applause! 😀

I'd like to just say again how much of an honour its been to co-host the awards tonight, I had a blast doing it and couldn't have asked for a better audience. Also, I'd like to send a Olaf-Sized thanks to everyone who helped out both behind the scenes and "on camera" this year. The awards are never an easy undertaking and I was really lucky to have *a lot* of help from my fellow mods to get everything put together on time. It really was a group effort this year and we couldn't have done it without you guys! Thanks again to all of our judges, writers, special guests and everyone else who helped to make the awards possible 😀 :hugs:

And of course, a big thanks to all of our members here at BB! The boards may have ups and downs sometimes, but when it comes down to it each one of you folks really help to make this place the best that it can be. We're one big family here and remain (in my opinion😉) the best forum on the net for Buffy/Angel. I'm looking forward to another year of posting with you guys-- let's make it the best one yet! 😀

Thank you so much everyone for thinking of me and giving me the award and I am so sorry I missed it! I'm sorry I'm missing so much of Buffy-Boards lately as well- I'm missing all of you, but I am just so very, very busy right now. Even busier lately since we're moving.....out of the country (when we move, we apparently really move) but hopefully when it's all settled down and I finally have time to think I'll be back and hogging the forum as much as ever. So thank you again and I miss you all lots and lots- you're lovely people and I know I made some really good friends on there (well, here, since my niece is hopefully going to post it on the forum).
I hope to speak to you all again in the near future. Kisses.

P.S I have seen the Dollhouse finale and it is good. See, I am not a total Whedon Recluse right now- feel assured that I am using what little spare time I have for worthwhile purposes. X"
