No, see THAT opinion is fair enough, if that's really how you feel about them. I definately don't mind people not liking or even hating bands that I love, as long as they are doing it for their own reasons. That is part of the whole individual tastes thing I'm talking about.

Saying that you like a band just because you want to be in the in crowd is as bad as saying that you hate one for the same reasons.

That said, I do like MCR. 😉

However it does kinda make me sad that great music is completely lost on you.
 
Yes, because I wanted you to be pissed off at my opinion. Dont you know thats why I have opinions? To piss other people off. Grow up. I was stating my opinion about the band. If I did it to piss you off then I would be a total hypocrite just saying all that for a reaction from someone else.

Did I not just say I didnt like them cos I thought their music was shit? MY opinion. f**k all to do with you.

And great music is not lost on me thank you very much. MCR is not in my opinion great music. In case I didnt make that clear enough to begin with. My opinion!

I have to agree though, MCW. What I was saying before about having a true rock attitude also extends to being able to NOT like a band regardless of who else does. Wicked isn't into MCR and doesn't like what they do. Hell, I know people who aren't into Pearl Jam!!! What's that all about?!?!?! 😀

She wasn't trying to piss you off and she wasn't saying that we shouldn't like them. Just giving her thoughts. Okay? 😉

Besides, if somebody starts up a thread about the Arctic Monkeys or The Streets and expects me not to go in and express just how much I think their music blows, they REALLY won't be happy, hehe.

I retracted what I wrote here earlier to you Wicked ...out of respect for Old Master. I have nothing more to say on this matter. It's just not worth it.

ok, i know they're not a rock band, and they won't be to everyone's taste, but i've seen Chris and Steve play live and they were amazing.

same here, i have the first CD signed by Chris and Steve. seeing them sing live was one of the best parts of NFA last year.
i really hope they'll sing again this year.
the new song 'House Rules' is just awesome. i love it so much.
 
Argh, I hate overhype. My friends and all the folks who like music I like keep recommending the Yeah Yeah Yeah's to me... and I just don't get it. Can somebody please explain the big deal? If ever there was an example of a band trading on their reputation as the in-thing it's them. I mean I do like Maps, but beyond that, it all feels like the same damn song with slightly different Karen O noises and a different tempo.
