No, do you have a link? I did read something from the writers saying that Shane will be a very big part of next season. While that could just mean that the fallout from Rick killing him lingers among the group, but I'm hoping that it turns into some sort of flashback screen time.
What show is he on? I'm fairly sure I'll follow him to it.

LA Noir - It's Frank Darabont's new show that is sort of LA Confidential-esque but based on a different, non-fiction book about Mickey Cohen. I am pretty sure I heard Alexa Davalos is in it, and there are rumours about Simon Pegg. And girl, I already have the url 😉 😀
Oh that is right up my alley. I'd be watching that even if JB wasn't in it.

I had no idea how close JB and AL were. The way he spoke about them and his love for the cast, it was so lovely. I was nearly tearing up reading it. I had no idea Darabont had been sacked either. When did that happen?

Don't get me wrong... I loved the character but I felt like at that point Shane was dangerous to the entire group. He had murdered before and was willing to do it again for selfish reasons. It made him a loose cannon and a danger to the rest of them.
I have to say though I really enjoyed most of the twists and turns we saw with his character and I'll miss Jon Bernthal on the show. But yeah it was time for Shane to go. Now I'm ready to see how dark Rick is going to go and how his relationship with Lori is going to change.
I honestly didn't feel his loss in the quality of the season. I'm happy about that.
The interview was fantastic. I was sad to see Shane go, but he feels like an even bigger loss after that interview.

I used to love Andrea but after her treatment of Dale in Season 2 I have a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to her... I understand going through something because you lose someone close to you, but to take it out on someone who's clearly just concerned for your well being seems cheap to me. I wish she had just stayed at the CDC, but then that would have meant Dale dying sooner, too. 🙁

They are supposed to be hiding out in the woods and don't get the fact that they should be as quiet as possible instead of having petty arguments left and right. Idiots deserve to be eaten.
The OC's are more like card-board cut-out's than actual characters. And are we really supposed to give a damn about Lori? The way she is written makes me want to throw her to the zombies.
I hear season 2 is supposed to be better. Here's hoping.

Yes, I watched season 2. It wasn't that good.
1. Lori. Playing Shane and Rick against each other, not keeping an eye on her own kid, goes off by herself without telling anyone to search for Rick even though about an hour had passed and she knew he'd be gone for a while. This character is just not redeemable and I'm insulted that I'm expected to give a damn about her.
2. The farm. They were there far too long and didn't do much of anything. Human drama is fine and all, but boring human drama isn't.
3. Dale. Now he was a favorite of mine in season 1 so I was shocked to end up hating him in season 2, so much that I cheered when he died. His self-righteous, holier-than-thou attitude he took with everyone was annoying as heck, not to mention his creepy obsession with Andrea. His suspecting Shane of killing Otis, never mind the fact that he never met the guy and didn't even show up on the farm until that was all said and done. Granted, he was right; but he had no reason for even thinking that, let alone hound Shane relentlessly. Despite his thinking the worst of Shane, he sure did keep antagonizing him. His inability to accept that the world had changed and they would need to adapt to survive bordered on delusional. Plus, he took and hid all the guns. Because that's a really smart thing to do when there are flesh-eating zombies walking around. 🙄
4. Everyone's shock that Shane didn't want to live next to a barn filled with zombies. Just about everyone else was accepting of it, up to the point where Rick was helping them pack more zombies in there. For a crazy guy Shane sure made the most sense.
5. This kid does whatever he wants whenever he wants and clearly has no adult supervision, despite having a mother that does absolutely nothing and the fact he is staying at a house full of people. The only one that actually tried to parent the boy was Shane, and he did a better job of it than Rick and Lori.
I'll get around to posting what I did like after I go eat dinner.

I am! 😀 I wasn't crazy about season 2 overall, but after seeing the TWD panels at comic con this summer I've gotten really excited about it again. I just hope it doesn't go as slow as the first half of s2.

I loved Season 2. Yeah, it was more about the drama than the action, but I thought that was ok. After seeing all the panel discussions and the previews of Season 3, though, I'm chomping at the bit for October 14th to get here! 😀
I got into the show right after Season 2 finished airing (I watched the eps on Netflix and Amazon Instant Video), so this will be my first time seeing it first-run with the rest of the fandom. I can't wait!

PLENTY EXCITED!
So, as I was sick the past week-end and forced to stay in bed for most of the time, I thought I'd look up for a new show. I was hesitating between Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead, because I heard a lot of good things about both of them. 😛 In the end, I decided to check TWD first.
I have to point out that I've never been a zombie movies fan. In fact, I'm not much into the horror genre. Despite that I thought I'd watch the show with an open mind. 🙂
I'm already done with season two and I have to say that, aside from a few episodes early S2, the show has been awesome! 😀 The pilot was just a perfect opener to the series, and I still think one of my favorite scenes was when Rick arrived in Atlanta and was riding on his horse, saw an helicopter and then rode right into an army of walkers! Hahahaha, that was great. 😀
One thing with this show is that, at the beginning, I always found myself disliking a character in one episode and then loving him/her the next episode... Over time though I started liking certain characters for good. For example Glenn has always been pretty funny and Rick is not bad as the protagonist - even though I sometimes question his judgment. My favorite character is definitely Daryl. He can be a total jerk, but he's such a cool character. Also, he seems to me like the most logical person in their group, aside from Shane. The thing with Shane though was that - just like Andrea told him - he had a way to speak his mind that didn't work well with everyone; he didn't seem to know how to express his opinion without antagonizing half the group. Personally, I think he was usually right, though.
Now let me take a moment to talk about Lori/Laura... I tried VERY hard to like her character, but she is freaking annoying and she can also be such a hypocrite. At first she's mad at Shane for *lying* about Rick - Shane thought his bud was dead for real, jeez - and she acts like what they had together didn't mean anything - pretty much to feel better about herself because she feels guilty. Later on, she goes back to Shane and this time she tells him that she's sorry and that she should have thanked him for taking care of her and Carl. I can give her that, but then she goes to talk to Rick and she tells him Shane is dangerous and he needs to do something about it. That scene pretty much made me a Lori hater for life. And what's even more funny is that when Rick actually DOES something about Shane at the end of season two, she ends up being angry at him! Okaaaay... 🙄 The worst part is that she's the female lead and she will probably be on the show for the whole run... Yuck!
Anyway, back to the good stuff! I really like the cinematography in this show. The soundtrack is also great, and the zombie make up is awesome! I love the atmosphere and the characters exchanges - aside from anyone with Lori.
One complain I'd have about the story, up till now, is that I expected to find out more about what the hell is going on in the rest of the country. I get that we're supposed to believe that pretty much everybody is dead, but you'll never make me believe that there isn't a lot of people who managed to lock themselves in bunkers, military warehouses and so on. What about the President? 😛 What about all the people on small islands? The world population didn't all just suddenly turn into zombies!
For example, who was in that helicopter flying over Atlanta? Were they looking for survivors? Also, I'm guessing later on in the story we'll find out exactly where the virus started. Anyway, my point was that I was expecting them to expand a bit more on what actually happened before Rick woke up in the hospital.
One last thing I'll mention is that I don't usually care much about minor inconsistencies, but the whole idea of hiding under cars to not be seen by walkers when a few episodes earlier they found out that they could smell humans... yea! 🙄

I can't stand this show! I watched like a season & a half & I hate EVERY single character, they irritate the crap out of me, every one of them makes me wanna punch them in the face, I stopped watching after a while, cause plots don't matter when characters are that annoying .. (although I heard one of the most annoying guys gets killed, that's a plus!)

If a zombie apocalypse happens one day, I want you as an ally. Haha I just started this show last night and I'm on season 2 and...just, yes. Why the hell were they in the damn forest!? Ugh. Their stupidity adds to the suspense but it's also infuriating at times. They are always talking about how they don't want to use guns because of how loud they are, yet they continue to do so, or they're scrambling to find a rake or something. Carl, a damn child, is the one who found the hatchets which definitely helped them out. Their location at the moment is also way better, now they can actually see if a horde is approaching. I also agree that everyone should be armed at all times. I like the show, but the characters are driving me insane. Well, some of them.

I just watched the finale and Lori's reaction was beyond annoying.
SHE'S the one who told Rick she was afraid of Shane.
SHE'S the one who told Rick she believed that he killed Otis
and
SHE'S the one who implied that he'd kill Rick and/or anyone else who got in the way of his deluded fantasy.
UGH she is annoying as hell. I really don't give a damn about her. She could be the last woman standing and I'd root for the walkers.
