I just want to ask something out of genuine curiosity, and I'd appreciate honest answers (from anyone). One reason I found so much about sexuality confusing is because so many people lie about it. If you can't be honest, then please don't answer (again, speaking to a general audience). And I ask out of genuine curiosity, not seeking an excuse to jump on some soapbox. Human nature intrigues me, and I know I can't understand others by projecting my own inclinations, desires, and sensibilities onto the rest of humanity.
Is the sight of a limp male genitalia (not sure what words are acceptable here so I'll go with that) normally a turn on for those attracted to men?
I'd have thought that arousal sparks arousal, and a man with limp genitals isn't excited. And there is a view of A.S. genitals in Terminator (at 5:26 on my dvd) though it's not a closeup, not well lit, and easily missed (and he's just walking up like a robot). I'd just be surprised that inspired erotic longings (unless there were other non-erotic factors for enjoying the sight, though those non-erotic factors could be eroticized in certain individuals). So if it's normal for that to be a turn on, I'd like to know, please.
Perhaps it's worth noting for myself that I haven't equated nudity with sex and am generally confused by the idea...clothing can actually be far more sexy if done right (and depends on a person's tastes, of course). Nudist colonies and beaches don't break out into orgies that I'm aware of. When I heard of a woman winning a lawsuit because she got into a sauna naked with some adults when she was a teen (they may have strongly pressured her into it, in which case I'm inclined to support her lawsuit) I joked I got naked with the wrong people as a kid as they didn't have enough money worth suing them over (it was not eroticized in any sense). And yet there are those who see nudity as sex. I even overheard 2 women at a fitness center I used to go to that they didn't use the sauna out of fear of lesbians, and as a lesbian myself I know I'd have raised a stink if someone came onto me in the sauna.
I see it all the time in entertainment. There's this one movie in which the most disturbing moment is a man burns the eye of a mouse with a cigarette (and it's graphic) before throwing the said mouse into the fire. I hope that was all fake, but given the closeup and that it was the 1970s I fear that may have been done for real. But that (or many other things, including poisonings) aren't complained about. Rather, it's that a 17-year-old boy (IIRC) has sex with a 13-year-old girl (note, the boy is disabled from polio, and the 13-year-old poisoner is much more scary, world wise, and in control) and it's romantic, and also the profanity the kids use. Sheesh. 'Course many get more upset over Fake-Cordy and Connor having sex than of them murdering an innocent woman together, so I guess that's about the same. That's just how people are. I have my theories on why but I'm too tired to share them.
