Today's Laugh

The sun is getting in on the Halloween spirit today, thanks to well-placed 'coronal holes.'

Never trust a smiling sun.
Baffling experience...my computer got an update that it would not let me uninstall, and had slowed to LESS than a crawl, effectively rendering it unusable for the most part. I looked into and tried almost everything.

Finally, I began psyching myself for the nuclear option of resetting files, though really not wanting to lose a day of computer use to that, I quickly glanced around at a couple of options I never tried before while waiting for that option to come up.

And then...lightning fast. It's as if programs have a survival instinct. I've examined it and see no reason for what caused the instant change (or what the problem had been).

I finally get this that a programmer once sent to me:

My sister told me this story today.

So my grandmother has Alzheimer’s. My dad takes her everywhere, and recently she broke her arm when she fell down her basement stairs. So they go the physical therapist.

Therapist: “How did you break your arm?”

My grandmother: *Gives intense look at my dad for a bit, then looks back to the therapist.* “I fell?”

Therapist: *alarmed* “Are you sure you fell?”

This person legit thought my dad was beating up on old ladies. 😭💀. He said he felt like he was under suspicion the whole time LOL.

Silly humans, forgetting to install a social mythology before booting up.

But then Wolfram & Hart have been here a long time...you'd think they know by now. But here, their first lesson to humanity (those flowers would later be used by Manner's Pharmacy....the ones that made the pills Kate took too many of!)

I'm moving this here from the trailers thread, because I don't think it's a real trailer, and many probably skip that (given all the video a computer would have to load in accessing it, which can be irritating to some computers).

Perhaps the Sunnydale Cinema would add "NOT based on a true story, no matter what you've heard. Also, rumors of monsters preying on movie watchers is greatly exaggerated false."

I could see this happening as a wish ("I wish men would express their feelings!") to a vengeance demon, for the pleasure of the Lower Beings (if you don't know what a Lower Being is, they can be recognized by finding pleasure in this scenario, ha, ha):

I could see the Buffy (and other Jossverse shows) back in the day attempting marketing research on unsuspecting fans, and it going something like this:

Buffy (college age or older, maybe Joyce before that) and Lilah might meet while waiting in line on the first day this book comes out...

My sister sending this to me, saying ”this is what it is like spending time with you” 😂😂

This is why family holidays are such a pain, they’re always like, ”you need to eat again!?!!”
