A recent posting on this board about Disney and Firefly reminded me of this...
For those who don't know, the redhead is Mara Jade. That's all I'll say on it so that I don't go on full rant mode against Darth Disney (and what they canceled, how they proved themselves liars or incompetent, and how they deliberately gaslit the hardcore fans--those into "Legends," formerly Expanded Universe--over it for woke points). When Darth Disney first bought them out, I got excited, figuring they'd include that character,o and that she'd be played by Scarlett Johansson (on Disney's payroll at the time, or was by the time the new trilogy was released) since she'd be perfect, both in appearance and with the Black Widow vibe.
I will add that it occurs to me there may be some subtle erotic humor (where to put the vibrating weapon). Mistaken or not, I'd have never caught (or thought of) it had years on BB not warped my mind!
(I'll spare you the wild stunt I could imagine Mara pulling off back when Emperor Palpatine had a permanent telepathic link with her---completely under his control, and Mara felt herself die when the Emperor did, traumatizing her a bit, as it was painful on her, not just merely "watching"--but it's not "family friendly" and would be lost on the majority who never even heard of her, let alone her backstory).
