that's SO uncalled for. Nobody needs sites like that anyway so **** then is what i say!

I hope that Tru Calling will not be cancelled. The show is great. And looking at the previews last nite, it seems that the fact that Jack (Jason Priestly) can relive days as well, is going to be extra exciting. If they cancel this show, I am going to be so thru with FOX.

i am getting different answers for a second seson of TC. TvTome seems to think it will happen (although often, they are wrong), as do others, even Eliza Dushku Online.

Here's hoping!

I hope the show will be renewed. The show is getting more interesting NOW that Jack has joined the cast. Im looking fwd to seeing Jack relive days as well.
If they do not renew, i will be so through with FOX. :mad3:

yeah he is bringing in another part to the season. An emotion part that you can follow through the whole way

Fox renewed 4 shows for the 2004-2005 the week. Tru Calling did NOT get an early renewal. We'll have to wait until Fox's upfront presentation to advertisers on May 20 to find out it's fate.

As for the ratings today, it had a 2.8/5 in the overnights, 3.4/5 in the metered markets and a 1.6 in the 18-49 demographic. That's down from Two Pair where it had only 4 million viewers and the lowest ratings since November. The final numbers can change, but it's probably below 4 million viewers.

That's a huge drop after the American Idol boosted episode. Who knows what Fox expected, especially considering Friends was back with new episodes. What killed shows like Oliver Beene and Cracking Up was failing to build on their AI boosts.

The worst stats were that Fox was down -37% from the previous year. (Fox will probably want to see TC doing as well as the reality junk they had on Thursdays last year). Also the Swan repeat at 9pm had about a million more viewers than Tru Calling.

It's not the kind of numbers that will be really convincing to the Fox execs. Hopefully Gail Berman continues to pull strings and can have enough pull to get TC in for next season, but that's the only hope that TC really has.

variety had an article on this - will just post the relevent parts:

Fox still hasn't determined the fates of actioner "Tru Calling" and critically acclaimed sitcom "Arrested Development."

But don't read too much into that, Berman stressed. According to the exec, the network is still mulling the fate of those and other series on its schedule as the May upfronts approach.

They can't just decide their gonna axe the UK because we've only had teh first two eps so far

Here's hoping that Fox will give this a chance. It's sort of like the "Evanescence" of all the T.V shows out there, a cult following, i suppose. ("Friends" is Britney, and "Survivor" is Christina)

If they cancel this show, I'm boycotting Fox. This is one of about 5 good shows on there, counting "Family Guy" and "Futurama."

New thread

There is now a new thread devoted specifically to news and stipulation about a second season, aptly named Second Season? you guys might want to switch your discussion over there.

This thread existed first, and thus, is an appropriate place to discuss this.

That thread is also in the wrong forum, and really didn't need to be started since there was this one already talking about the same thing.

However, since this thread is getting a tad long, I will close it.
