Unpopular opinions/thoughts!

Dawn was the best female character in Buffy. Michelle Trachtenberg was the best actress in the series and did the teenage girl to perfection.

Spike was by far the best character in both Buffy and Angel.

Kennedy was the only Potential who showed... potential. Amanda and Vi were OK, the rest of them should have been in nursery school. I had no problems with Kennedy and Willow being an item.

Drusilla was great - the episodes she was in were fun and I thought her acting was excellent.

Normal Again and Ted were cringeworthy to the point of being unwatchable.

Riley has to be the most passive psych student anywhere. Physically strong but mentally weak. He has no curiosity. For a better characterization of a psych student, see Holden in "Conversations with Dead People" 7ABB07. The only person in the series with any real psychological insight at all is Spike.

Anya was the most annoying character anywhere - except when she was Anyanka. She got away with stuff that was unforgiveable.

Buffy should have put a sword through Giles and Quentin alike after "Helpless" 3ABB12. They both blew the trust fuse and never should have been allowed back into the inner circle.

The Buffy comics are absolute garbage. Bad illustrations with stupefyingly bad story concepts. After the Fall may be marginally better, but with the bound set being $62, it can stay in the store.
 
-I can't stand Anya. Her humor never evolves or matures through five years of the show, and more often than not her only purpose is to act as a bridge to move the plot forward. She was funny the first few times she pulled her schtick, but after that it was just annoying. She just annoys me.

-I might be one of the only people out there who really enjoys both Bangel and Spuffy, and who counts Angel and Spike as as favorite characters. But between the two, I like Angel more.

-I loved Illyria.

-I really liked Dawn, especially in the later seasons.

-Spike is, by far, the funniest character on either series.

-I didn't care all that much for Tara. I liked her a lot in S6 but prior to that, she just didn't do anything for me. I always like Oz more.

-I liked Kennedy. She was the only Potential who wasn't useless and the only time she really annoyed me was when she stepped up to Buffy.

-I like S1 of Buffy more than S4, 5, 6 and 7.

-I loved "Chosen", despite its flaws. And "Not Fade Away" is the best series finale I've ever seen.

-I think the best of Angel is better than the best of Buffy, and I like all the Angel seasons more than anything in Buffy besides S2 and S3.

Most people don't have sympathy for Faith? Really? I thought she was a really sympathetic villain.

-Cordelia should have stayed after season 3 and should never have died in Angel
-Faith should have stayed in Buffy 4 a whole season instead of just a few random episodes...

I wouldn't call IOHEFY underrated, but that might just be because I quite like it. And yes, Faith should've been around for more of the season -- I think she would've been a better fit as a regular on Angel, though.
Here's my list again:

I prefer Virgina/Wesley in season 2 over Fred/Wesley
Jenny is a boring character imo sorry
I loved Principal Wood and his mother
 
Okay, my love for Faith probably isn't an unpopular opinion, but this has to be mentioned.

- As much as I like Seasons 6 and 7 (they're not my favorites, no, but I still like them), especially some specific episodes, I think Buffy's story should've ended at the end of Season 5, with Faith's story picking up after that.
- I like Dawn -- sure, she's not the best character in the series, but I really enjoy her, especially the later it gets into the show.
- I don't much prefer Spike/Buffy or Buffy/Angel over the other -- both of them have their place, and I like both of them. Now, they're overshadowed in my mind by Buffy/Faith, but that's another story.
- I like "Ted" -- I think that the only reason is John Ritter, but that's enough.
- I do not like "Amends" -- even when taken in the context of the Powers saving Angel so they can keep their champion, the Deus ex Machina ending just doesn't work for me.
