US Elections

As expected. No way were they going to give people a chance for change. Imagine having to explain to an alien why the two candidates for one of the worlds most important positions can't form a coherent sentence.
Reminds me of a West Wing quote...

I-I don't care if he thinks Luxembourg's an uptown stop on the IRT. And I don't care about the Greco-Roman
wrestling matches with the language-- not that polished communication skills are an important
part of this job-- what I care about is when he was asked if he'd continue the current U.S.
policy in China he said, "First off, I'm going to send them a message-- meet an American
leader." I don't know what that means, but everybody cheered

Sorry couldn't find a video. 😳

I fully support any project that sends you to mine the Moon. *insert Jackie Gleason quip here* Your equipment might fail, and there's no air, but I'm sure you'll be fiiiiiine.

Joe Biden claims that Trump may delay the elections due to the Coronavirus... 🤦‍♀️

In my opinion, if you can go to the supermarket, you can also go vote.

They should delay the elections, I agree, especially as they are saying the second wave will hit in the autumn.

Why would you delay the election? If you can't have one, the States still have the right to name Electors and send them to the College in December, even if you can't have a popular election. I, for one, would prefer you change the date of the Federal election rather than do that, but if someone wants to call the Democrat's bluff...

No really, the Democrats said the same thing in 2002, Bush was trying to delay holding the election. Apparently, we had elections during the Civil War and World War 2, but I don't think those were "democratic" as we would understand them. If I recall, being forced to march through a line of Union Soldiers with a scented McClellan ballot doesn't count as free and fair. I think you should look into delaying the election in the event of a National Emergency, or what would need to be done as one does for potential emergencies, but my guess is, a constitutional amendment would be required, and most state governments have the means to appoint Electors, Representatives and Senators in case of national emergency, which each house of Congress can then accept or reject, which has an interesting history in itself.

Of course, if it's that bad, it's unlikely anyone will vote to change horses in the middle of a river ("A Lame Duck President," as it's known, would leave the US Executive Branch without leadership from early November to mid-January, or latter, depending on the speed of the transition.) which was the outcome for elections held during both the Civil War and the Second World War, and as the election is basically 50/50 right now, Biden would be the one who would will want the delay.

Shhh, don't tell this to Trump but the second wave is a hoax, did he ever watch the 5th Wave?

One thing no one has mentioned about Trump yet is the Trump tax. This is the $1295 average cost to every American household for his colossal stupidity in attempting to wage trade wars with every other trading partner. Canada took an interesting route with this: we added import taxes to everything that came from a state that favoured Trump, e.g. Kentucky bourbon. You took our pawn, we took your rook. And Trump got rooked on most of these deals - I have never seen such a spectacular lack of negotiating skills from the guy who tweeted "trade wars are easy" and claimed to be a great negotiator.

Don't tell Trump . He just get mad & say that fake news 🙄

Joe Biden claims that Trump may delay the elections due to the Coronavirus... 🤦‍♀️

Biden will probably die from it waaay before the elections, so his claims are only dust in the wind...just like his campaign.

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind
Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Oh, ho, ho
Now, don't hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won't another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
The wind

So, whatever happened to Kanye West promising he was going to run to be President in 2020? Bit of a liar is he? ? ? ? ?

So we have to wait 4 more years before he runs 🙄

Er at the 2015 MTV VMA's Kanye West said he was going to run for President in 2020.
It was recorded as such. When did he change his mind and say the 2024 elections?

How many copies are you going to mail back in? Remember the motto of Chicago: vote early, vote often. Don't forget to send them back by different mail drops.
I'm not dead so I can only send in one. Maybe that's how the Dems will got elected; all of the covid votes.
