Were you unhappy with Anya's death?

Still just because emma caulfield didnt mind ying doesn't mean anya had to die and also they still could have killed principal wood and maybe even faith for a middle of battle death

Why not kill faith/principal wood they where semi-important scoobs or why didn't riley come back and die instead, i just dont except the anya had to die excuse!

Plus, weren't they still tossing around the idea of a Faith spinoff? It's a bad idea to kill off your spinoff character before you get to the spinoff.

Boy that post have a few repetitions of the word "spinoff'!

I was so shocked!! And saddened but in some way I guess it's okay, because it is the final episode.

Not like it'll make much of a difference...

but I liked the way it happened quick... 🙁

I thought it was very well done, it was heroic and I liked how they didn't linger on it too much, it kind of equalised Anya with the other characters, made her more human.

I was so upset that Anya died! I actually cried, and it was so graphic! I wish they would have killed off Wood or something, I never liked him. Or even Andrew. I really don't think Anya should have been the one to die. Especially that violently.

I never really was affected by Anyas death mainly because it was over so quickly. I mean you never really got the chance to digest it. It was just anya's gone, then the end of the show.

Exactly thats the worst bit, it made her death less meaningful because she just got cut in half and that was it noone screaming no in a cheesey way or even some memorable last words like "tell xander i love him" and the worst bit is with all that bad karma we know shes going to hell, which is such a shame

I wasn't shocked or surprised; D'Hoffryn hinted her death: "all good things in time". And frankly, Joss was going to kill somebody in series finale and I prefer Anya than anyone else.

emma caulfield knew she was going to die in chosen. she was only contracted for four years, S7, being her last year. apperently, emma didn't want her character to be spun off, or pop up in angel for anyother spin off show, she said she perferred it of her character died.
i got this from the offical uk buffy magazine, if anyone's interested!

We all already knew that, but she didnt want the charecter killed off, she just said that she wouldnt be renewing her contract since she wanted to move on to do other things.

oh, ok, i thought she wanted to be killed off so that there was no possible way her character could be spun off.
i knew she wasn't coming back.

It totally was a great Ending. But yes I was so sad that she ending up dying and didnt make it to the end as ashes been in BTVS so long, also, If they did ever carry on Btvs or something like it, she wouldnt be in it as she died or it would be hard to make her alive again! lol

I hated her death. I can't believe Andrew survived! I understand why Josh killed off Anya...I get there had to be some price that'd take a toll on the group and the audience. But why Anya?

I thought it was unfair that anya dead and nobody else did, though i spose somebody had to die. There have been reports of a film which means anya wont be in it, which i also think is unfair. She had a very short death scene, and i think her death was out of charachter. I dont think Anya would die to save the life of Andrew. The only remorse shown by xander was and i quote 'Thats my girl'. Whats up with that??? And anyway why should andrew survive and not Anya?

i think andrew survived because we all thought he WASN'T going to survive.
come on, how many of you thought andrew was gonna die before the end of the show? i know i did! the other two nerds had been killed off, why should andrew be the only one to survive.
i think joss chose to save him because he liks doing things people don't expect. like killing the lead character in the first season!!

Thats true but i thought that buffy would die. Seeing as there wasnt going to be another series or film. I just thought it was unfair of Joss to leave us hanging, it was like there was no end to it, just the same old same old. Maybe if more main characters had died then it would have balanced it but even spike came back.

I was shocked in the moment when she died! I get goosebumbs! It was really sad! Sometimes that scene apperas in my head from nothing! It was really sad 🙁 I can't say that she deserve it... She fought like a warrior!

Anya was/is one of my favorites so I wasn't that thrilled with her death but at least she died in the last episode (unlike fans of Tara. They had to go through a whole season without her)
