What are your pet peeves?

People who don't know the difference between there/they're/their.
People who listen to music way too loud.
My upstairs neighbors, which apparently, have a pet elephant.
Mormons.

My list goes on, but i'll leave it at this for now lol

lmao, I think my neighbors have a pet elephant too!
I saw a signature once that had an altered version of that quote. It referred to "A special level of hell they reserve for child molesters and the people that cancelled Firefly."

LOL!! That's a pretty great idea for a siggy!
I would save that special level of hell for child molesters and animal abusers. Or just about anyone who betrays the trust of any person or animal. (Even Bill Clinton, but then, who could trust him in the first place?)

Yeah I know, it's awful. And worst thing is that because I'm at work I have to ignore it for the sake of the young people I work with, whears if I was out by myself I could go and challenge them and tell them to go eff themselves!
...people that harass the disabled kids I work with when we take them out for the day.
...people that think disabled kids with challenging behaviour should "just be killed".

Whoa!! I totally agree!
There are several special spots in hell reserved for...

people who answer their cell phones in the theatre
people who don't say "excuse me"
people who stand on the walking side of walking sidewalks
walking sidewalks that tell you "this is the end of the sidewalk" No shit.
people who use ridiculous amounts of ridiculously strong perfume/cologne
people who use improper grammar
people who say ATM machine and/or PIN number... in fact, there's an extra special level of hell for these people! 😛

...I think that's it. For now. 😀
Love the thread. I always think "there's a special level in hell for..." and now hey! I know I'm not alone.

As English isn't my native langage, I guess my many grammar/spelling mistakes are not a big deal then? :tongue3:

I've got so many pet peeves I sometimes get the feeling I should go live in a cave in a mountain far far away from people! :giggle:

I've working 2 years to Pizza Hut on fridays night and saturday night and it made me realize that:

1. It's not the children I don't like. It's the parents who let them do anything and laughing about it. Seriously, it has already happened to me that I start cleaning everything up when there are less people, I put on the tables clean forks and knives and everything. I do it right so the restaurant looks good. Then you have a small child that follows you and throw everything on the ground.
I always had to go to the parents and ask "Please, can you ask your child to stop messing everything up? It takes time to put everything in its right place, so I understand if your kid is bored but find him another occupation!"
Sometimes, there were even children lying on the ground, running everywhere...And it's really not easy to carry heavy pizzas and to avoid the children.
So please, parents: RAISE your children!

2. I hate when people call you a racist because things don't go the way they want. Once, my manager has a severe verbal-fight with a family of clients, who were mad because their Pizza arrived like 10 minutes late. I can understand that they were hungry, but they started shouting they refused to pay for a pizza they've been waiting for for one hour (it took 35 minutes, not a freaking hour!). And when my manager said that we could offer a dessert but there was no way they left without paying ANYTHING, they started screaming "You are racist, this is just because we are Morrocan!"
My manager answered "Sure we are, that's why half the crew here is Morrocan, because we hate Morrocans!"
And I've heard many in the subway and stuff people saying "you're racist" for stupid non-racist reasons.

3. I can't stand people who never take responsabilities. And can't make the difference between times to laugh and times to really work. One night (one of my last night actually), there were a lot of new students, and they were doing a lot of mistakes, but that was no big deal as they were new. But we-the old ones- had to work harder to repair their mistakes and explain to them how they must do this or that. And it was a very busy night, I ran in the whole restaurant all night long. And I had a colleague, who is 23 (I was 18 then), who found it funny to make a huuuuge mess. The manager always had to call all the crew to ask "Who did THIS now???:inpain:" and the girl was always like "It's not me!" with a face like you had insult her whole family. Later that night, she asked me "Are you ok? You seem to be in a bad mood?" "No you think? What the hell was that tonight?" Then she told me that it was always time to laugh and that if I couldn't always laugh to her stupid mess, then she wouldn't ever again laugh with me, just work and say hi. It really pissed me off to a point that if I had Buffy's bazooka in Innocence, that would have been my own mess!

4. I don't like when people look at me and have a mocking grin. I want to say "Look in a mirror, then you'll really laugh...to death"

5. I hate people who always have an excuse for everything. This year at school, we had group works to do and there was one guy who always has a good reason!

Me: Don't forget the reunion today!
Him: Oh, I'm so sorry, I can't come, I'm going to sign a contract for my job!

H: I'm gonna be late for the presentation, I missed the train so I take the car.
M: Okay!
H: I do as fast as possible!
M: Perfect! You do know your text, right?
H: Oh, oh, nooo! I just had an accident! I can't come at all!

M: So tomorrow we must repeat our text togheter, yay -.-
H: Okay, I'll be there!
*The day after*
M: Jeez dude, where the **** are you now? Coming late?
H: I'm so sorry, I had to sign a contract!
M: Like, again?
H: Eee...Yes again. I'm so sorry, you must think I do it on purpose!
M: No, not at all! *Where is a bazooka when you need one?*

H: saying his text completly wrong, ruining the presentation
M: What was that?
H: I thought everyone has to know his own part!
M: No, we cleary told you that we had to know ALL the text, you frigging idiot!
H: No you didn't!
M: Yes. I. DID.
H: Did you? Oohh, yeah, you did!

6. I also totally dislike people who don't respect others taste. I know a guy who always say "That music you listen to, it's shit, those movies you watch, it's shit...I don't know that thing, so it has to suck." And he always say "That is better, this is better, my tastes are so much better than your stupid tastes".
I think there is a big difference between having different tastes and not respecting someone else taste at all!

7. I don't like who just think all the teacher suck just because they are teachers. Or who call teachers names because they are tough ones. Are we here to learn or what?

8. I have a problem with girls who think that feminism is stupid and old-fashioned.

9. I think I just don't like most people, help!

there was a video in you tube some weeks ago: a little girl took 4 places in the bus, and an old man asked her mom to make that he could seat.

he was bullied by half the people in the bus!!
i don't understand this

Wow you listed a lot of mine. There is nothing worse than a person who sits there and laughs when a child is not acting accordingly ah.

About the mocking thing I understand everyone stares but jeez I don't like when people continue to do it. I feel it is rude.

My friend was over once and continued to diss my shows such as Buffy and some others and I thought I don't hate on the things you watch or listen to so is there a need for you to do that to me?

LMAO at not liking people I think we all feel that way at times I know I do 😉

Damned!:eek2:
People are crazy!
Old people should always have a seat in a bus/train/subway or something. I understand that children may be fragile and have difficulties to stand up in a bus, but, come on, it's not a reason for the kids to have 4 seats on his own!
Poor old man! :confused2:

In psychology, our teacher explained that parents should stop saying their children to stop and stay still just laughing saying that.
Instead, we are supposed to point our finger at the kid with an angry face, showing our teeth, and say "Stop". It was funny when he showed us that. I tried it once with a kid. He looked at me like I was a monster, but at least, he stayed still! *I also made the "I'm watching you" sign, Barney Stinson like!

Anyway, I feel less alone now I know I'm not the only one who sometimes just don't like people in general! :giggle:

lol Psychology is a fun class to be on, and i would have loved to see the child's face.
People who don't explain reasons for them disliking/hating something apart from with 'I just do'

People who constantly whine and bitch about people and then you see them with said person and they're all OMGZ BFFS 4LYF

People who cheat in relationships, I hate it, NO circumstance would make me able to forgive a person for cheating.

People who act differently and are extremely false when around certain people.

Hey! It's Moz!
...and radio DJs who start talking before the song ends.

And radio DJ's who talk over the intro of a song. Maybe I like the instrumental!

And people who won't ever talk to you when they have a problem, but they'll talk to everyone else.

Those DJ's, man...
And people who won't ever talk to you when they have a problem, but they'll talk to everyone else.

Argh! This drives me crazy as well. Those people deserve their own level of hell. I'm going to add people that act like something is wrong by acting cold and distant but then refuse to say anything is wrong when it is perfectly clear that something is wrong.

Just general passive agressiveness in general I suppose. I hate it. Just man(or woman) up to me and tell me what is wrong. Then everything will be cleared up and out in the open.

Re:

Women who use their sexuality to get ahead. It makes it that much more difficult for women who believe in hard work. That...and people who try to talk on the phone and drive at the same time. If you can't afford a blue tooth then FTLOG people, use speakerphone! Most of the people on the road scare me enough as it is...

Just because someone is honest doesn't mean they have to be rude about it. Honesty can come with tact, people!
