As English isn't my native langage, I guess my many grammar/spelling mistakes are not a big deal then? :tongue3:
I've got so many pet peeves I sometimes get the feeling I should go live in a cave in a mountain far far away from people! :giggle:
I've working 2 years to Pizza Hut on fridays night and saturday night and it made me realize that:
1. It's not the children I don't like. It's the parents who let them do anything and laughing about it. Seriously, it has already happened to me that I start cleaning everything up when there are less people, I put on the tables clean forks and knives and everything. I do it right so the restaurant looks good. Then you have a small child that follows you and throw everything on the ground.
I always had to go to the parents and ask "Please, can you ask your child to stop messing everything up? It takes time to put everything in its right place, so I understand if your kid is bored but find him another occupation!"
Sometimes, there were even children lying on the ground, running everywhere...And it's really not easy to carry heavy pizzas and to avoid the children.
So please, parents: RAISE your children!
2. I hate when people call you a racist because things don't go the way they want. Once, my manager has a severe verbal-fight with a family of clients, who were mad because their Pizza arrived like 10 minutes late. I can understand that they were hungry, but they started shouting they refused to pay for a pizza they've been waiting for for one hour (it took 35 minutes, not a freaking hour!). And when my manager said that we could offer a dessert but there was no way they left without paying ANYTHING, they started screaming "You are racist, this is just because we are Morrocan!"
My manager answered "Sure we are, that's why half the crew here is Morrocan, because we hate Morrocans!"
And I've heard many in the subway and stuff people saying "you're racist" for stupid non-racist reasons.
3. I can't stand people who never take responsabilities. And can't make the difference between times to laugh and times to really work. One night (one of my last night actually), there were a lot of new students, and they were doing a lot of mistakes, but that was no big deal as they were new. But we-the old ones- had to work harder to repair their mistakes and explain to them how they must do this or that. And it was a very busy night, I ran in the whole restaurant all night long. And I had a colleague, who is 23 (I was 18 then), who found it funny to make a huuuuge mess. The manager always had to call all the crew to ask "Who did THIS now???:inpain:" and the girl was always like "It's not me!" with a face like you had insult her whole family. Later that night, she asked me "Are you ok? You seem to be in a bad mood?" "No you think? What the hell was that tonight?" Then she told me that it was always time to laugh and that if I couldn't always laugh to her stupid mess, then she wouldn't ever again laugh with me, just work and say hi. It really pissed me off to a point that if I had Buffy's bazooka in Innocence, that would have been my own mess!
4. I don't like when people look at me and have a mocking grin. I want to say "Look in a mirror, then you'll really laugh...to death"
5. I hate people who always have an excuse for everything. This year at school, we had group works to do and there was one guy who always has a good reason!
Me: Don't forget the reunion today!
Him: Oh, I'm so sorry, I can't come, I'm going to sign a contract for my job!
H: I'm gonna be late for the presentation, I missed the train so I take the car.
M: Okay!
H: I do as fast as possible!
M: Perfect! You do know your text, right?
H: Oh, oh, nooo! I just had an accident! I can't come at all!
M: So tomorrow we must repeat our text togheter, yay -.-
H: Okay, I'll be there!
*The day after*
M: Jeez dude, where the **** are you now? Coming late?
H: I'm so sorry, I had to sign a contract!
M: Like, again?
H: Eee...Yes again. I'm so sorry, you must think I do it on purpose!
M: No, not at all! *Where is a bazooka when you need one?*
H: saying his text completly wrong, ruining the presentation
M: What was that?
H: I thought everyone has to know his own part!
M: No, we cleary told you that we had to know ALL the text, you frigging idiot!
H: No you didn't!
M: Yes. I. DID.
H: Did you? Oohh, yeah, you did!
6. I also totally dislike people who don't respect others taste. I know a guy who always say "That music you listen to, it's shit, those movies you watch, it's shit...I don't know that thing, so it has to suck." And he always say "That is better, this is better, my tastes are so much better than your stupid tastes".
I think there is a big difference between having different tastes and not respecting someone else taste at all!
7. I don't like who just think all the teacher suck just because they are teachers. Or who call teachers names because they are tough ones. Are we here to learn or what?
8. I have a problem with girls who think that feminism is stupid and old-fashioned.
9. I think I just don't like most people, help!
