What is the story behind your username?

I was browsing the cemetery and I came upon a thread that was asking people why they chose their username. It was so interesting/awesome! Also, some of us refer to each other by first name only, so if you don't mind...tell us your name 😀. I have three questions actually:

1. What is the story behind your username, or what made you choose it?
2. Did you used to have a different one? If so, what was it?
&
3. What is your real name, if you don't mind sharing.

The "story" behind mine is that I love Fred 🙂. I used to be ProphecyGirl65 (I felt it was too...impersonal or something haha so I changed it), and my real name is Bria.

It's my nickname.
Yes I have had 2 previous usernames here, firstly was Faithful then was Foi.
My name is Nikki. Not short for Nicola which most people think it is lol. My real name is Nicolette.

[JCoatsworth]

1. What is the story behind your username, or what made you choose it?
Jefferson Coatsworth is a minor character from How I Met Your Mother in the episode "I'm Not That Guy" and is played by John Cho (of the Harold & Kumar movies).
When I signed up here I needed a name and since the episode is one of my favorites and I thought the character was hilarious, I chose JCoatsworth.

2. Did you used to have a different one? If so, what was it?
Nope.

3. What is your real name, if you don't mind sharing.
My real name is Lukas. (Like George Lucas, only with a k)

 

[Kean]

1.My favourite footballer ( and childhood hero) is Roy Keane, that's where my name comes from. I wanted something that, even though it was a handle, was still representative of me.

2. I started out as Keanoite then on impulse I changed it to Cordy. But by then I pretty solidly 'Kean'. Cordy didn't suit me at all and loads of people on BB said it was weird, [MENTION=6332]Lyri[/MENTION] threw a full on strop about it lol So, after about ten hours as Cordy I changed my name to Kean ( that's what everyone called me anyway) and I've been Kean ever since.

3. My real name is Sinéad, but I'll happily answer to Kean. In fact, Lyri and I refuse to address each other with our given names. Lol

1. What is the story behind your username, or what made you choose it?

I've had this username for ages, it goes back to when I wa signing up for my first email address in about 2001/2 and I needed to come up with something. I'd been reading Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials, and Xaphania is a minor character in the series. I thought it sounded interesting and I couldn't think of anything else to use as a username. I've just carried on using it since.

2. Did you used to have a different one? If so, what was it?

Nope, though I've used various other usernames at different sites across the years.

3. What is your real name, if you don't mind sharing.

[Living Dead Boy]

1. What is the story behind your username, or what made you choose it?

Well, my name orginated during a a trip to a Buddhist monastery...😛 No, I'm kidding. While I was signing up for BB, Rob Zombie's "Living Dead Girl" started playing on my iPod, and it's one of my favs, so I said, why not make that my username?

2. Did you used to have a different one? If so, what was it?

Nope. Although I was toying around with certain names, like Marshmellow (my lifelong nickname), and Funky Monk (a Red Hot Chili Peppers song 😉)

3. What is your real name, if you don't mind sharing.

[Vamp Jenny]

1. What is the story behind your username, or what made you choose it?
Well the short version of my name is Jenny and I love vampires... Also, on a TVD forum my nickname was Vamp_Haily (I love that name, which is why I took it), but it was confusing for some that my name wasn't Haily.

2. Did you used to have a different one? If so, what was it?
Nope. Always been Vamp_Jenny 😉

3. What is your real name, if you don't mind sharing.
Jennifer. I prefer Jenny though, less boring.

 

[Seeing Red]

Well.... I had another nickname before this one, a loooooong time ago. And there is a long boring story behind that one also. 😛
Though, Seeing Red came from me wanting a Jossverse related name, and I did not feel like using the other BTVS related username I had used a couple of times, and I wanted something with a lot of emotion. Seeing Red came to mind because it was a very emotional episode, and that the colour 'red' stands for a whole lot of different emotions. My username turned out to have a lot more sentimental value then 'oh I liked that episode'. I now use it for almost every single one of my usernames. 🙂

The old username I used was 'Yeti', don't think it fits me anymore. ^^

My real name is Alie, short for Alison.

1. I wanted a new name and felt it should be a Firefly one. Trying to spread the love any way possible. Major fail if people don't like me. 😉 I wanted a a name that could be shortened, I'm silly that way. My dormies wanted to call me washy though. 😛 Plus I like the character. Simple as that.

2. The Kinslayer. More of a history behind that name which I won't share now. Not that it's a secret.

3. Tobias. Online I'm called TK (from my past usernam), Wash or Toby if they don't use my real name. The obvious nickname for my name here in Sweden would be Tobbe. Would feel weird if online people would call me that.

1. What is the story behind your username, or what made you choose it?

My last name is Brink and Brinkster is a nickname of mine that people have been using since middle school. Brinkster always seems to be taken when I sign up for something that needs a user name so I added the number 130 to it.

2. Did you used to have a different one? If so, what was it?

Nope, I've used Brinkster130 as my user name for pretty much everything.

3. What is your real name, if you don't mind sharing.

Katie, but people tend to call be Brink, Brinky or Brinkster...

1. One day I was lost in the streets and I ran into a vampire who was awesome so I asked him if I could marry him and be with him forever and he accepted but he was killed by Faith. To this day, I remain Ms.Trick in loving memory of my husband.

2. My username used to be "Chocoslayer" because "I slay chocolate all the time"

3. My real name is Marion (Trick) 😀

1. The way Andrew pronounces "Buffy, slayer of the vampyrs" gets me every time. And the other nicknames I tried to use were taken. So that's pretty much the it of that one.

2. On here? Nope. Always been SOV. Don't think I could change it now. [MENTION=10728]Abbeycat[/MENTION] JUST learned how to spell it 😛 DOn't want to be cruel now.

3. Real name is Steph.

My name comes from the buffy ep "life serial" where during a poker game it's discovered that demons use kittens for currency. Buffy accuses spike of cheating at "kitten poker". I love the way she says it.

I've never had another name here but on another site I used to belong to for years I was piecesofthewhole - shortened to "pieces"

My real name is Abby (though I'm often called Lils)

My username is my name 😛 Apparently if I was a boy I was gonna be called Aiden.

2. Did you used to have a different one? If so, what was it?
Nope. 😛 In other places I sometimes use ashleighjane though

(This is the most pointless post I've ever written, inspired by boredom.)

Mhm, Ripper from Giles (surpise surprise 😀). This side of him always made me fuzzy! But Ripper was allready taken so I needed something else.

666 has a bible-reason (Revelation of John)where it is said that you should count the number of an animal, the devil. And the number will be 666. If you number through the alphabet; A=100, B=101 ... and take the name HITLER, the number you get while counting is 666. I chose it as a sign of hell, through which Giles goes when he think about/was Ripper.

I use different Nicknames, Ripper is one of my favorites.

My real name is Moritz, Mou or Moujou is prefered. 😀

I was watching "Selfless" one day and thought about how much I love Anya's song and thought about myself singing it since I love Xander so much. 🙂 I it the thought that I should change my username, so I did immediately. 🙂
I used to be called BASBritt, which is is a combination of Buffy's initials and my name.
My name is Brittany but hardly anyone calls me by my full name; almost all my friends call me Britt.

 

[This Year's Girl]

this year's girl is one of my favourite episodes. 🙂 My username used to be blixten, which is swedish for The flash and what my best friends call me. My real name is Mikaela, but I prefer Miki. 🙂

My username is taken from a Leonard Cohen song (or a goth metal band, but I only found that out afterwards). It was playing on the radio at the time and I'm terribly unoriginal so I thought it would work.

My real name is Madison, but I prefer Maddie as it's less 'formal.'

I just use my initials as username. Never been able to come up with something else...
Since you need at least three characters in your name I added the numbers. (I blame the vBulletin default setting at 3 characters for me never been able to just use my initials as I would want to do)
