But since Fuffy isn't cannon, I don't mind too much who Faith is with as long as she's not with Wood...
 
I voted Wesley because that would be just like Spike and Drusilla. Spike wanted to torture Drusilla until she fell in love with him again and Faith has already tortured Wesley so let the romance begin!
 
My pick isn't on the list. I would have liked her with Gunn. But I'll pick Spike I think they would be good together as well.

I'd love to see Faith and Willow if we are talking presently in the comics. I'd say Faith and Buffy but it would kinda ruin something else much more important.
 
@Smile Time I loved their chemistry. They were souls looking for redemption in a world full of pain and together they showed us a more innocent side. A side where love was needed. I don't read the comics so I don't know whats after the tv show. But for me they bought out the best in each other in the short time they were flirting with the idea of letting someone into their space.
 
Well, only if we had got to know Wood for longer. I do like the parallel between his mother as a slayer and a romance with a roguish, struggling slayer like Faith. Wood could understand her on a level few others could, I see what you mean , helping her in letting her guard down a little while still very much respecting her strength and duty
(see Riley) similarly the reason I like the bond between her and Angel in that he could also understand her and counter intitutively I think the almost familial bond they share as a tutor and mentor, brother and sister is like a levity and lighten up of Angel's massive broody isolation. They could share all those dark night of the soul adventures together, to together, so its de facto less dark and lonely.
 
Forced. What attraction is there besides as mates? Faith should have a fling and long lasting friendship with Angel, maybe a back on her feet, worthy of love confidence renewing relationship Wood, then a surprise pregnancy and marriage to Anne.
 
I just don't see her with a macho warrior type, Faith with Spike are mates, Angel platonic life long friendship, all her previous relationships were unfulfilling, maybe even traumatic and not in the big love big pain way like what Buffy had. Faith has never felt loved ever, so to me part of Faith's journey besides redemption is discovering who she is, because having built a persona out of self defense mechanisms she doesn't really know.

Here is my case for why Anne is the best candidate, they are both young women with very similar backrounds but different enough, since their coping mechanisms and personalities are polar opposites and opposites attract. Anne can relate to the dark side just as well as Spike, Angel, Wood, but as a person with less issues of her own to work on. Faith can admire her (a big issue of hers with B was envy) what she wanted more then her life was to be loved by Buffy (platonically either way) except Buffy couldn't relate to Faith at that stage in her life (S6 definitely helped bury the hatchet) and was too young to help before it was to late. While Anne looks a little like Buffy, nurturing types like Anne are attracted to their protective testosterone driven opposites like Faith who "just wanted something to love" she would response positively to being needing in this protective way which is not there with the others. And being loved and admired by someone with such a good heart who could never hurt a fly also not there with the others, would boost her self esteem as someone being worthy of love.

Gunn and Wood should have been added to the list since they are the only ones she had anything good to say about. Of these, Gunn had the streetwise background that would have been comparable with her own and would not have seen her lack of education as a negative.
 
I've always liked the idea of Faith and Willow together. They've both faced their demons, killed people, had issues with power, but also found redemption. I think Willow would show Faith the care she needs to build her confidence and Faith would make Willow feel strong
 
Per POTN's Hush Willow already is strong, without her being able to express her insecurity as deflection, what you see and get is a warrior. If Willow becomes more morally ambiguous in the comics then that is not what Faith needs, relativism was in her poor coping mechanism tool kit and used to evade responsibility. All for complex characters like Angel & Wesley but this would not work for Faith. Faith having grown up into her own I often wonder what she would have made of Anya's chip on her shoulder.
