Who was the best match for Buffy Summers?

Two polls in the same week lol. Anyways, this thread is to discuss who you think was the best match for Buffy Summers. My choices are:

Faith:These two really had a connection. Even though that they probably won't end up together a guy can hope right? I think Faith is the one who understands Buffy more than anyone. Plus the obvious subtext between them.

Angel:One episode, "I will remember you", I've always loved Buffy/Angel, it's probably what got me interested in the series and got me to stick around for more. And I always thought Angel would shanshu one day and him and Buffy could live a normal life together or maybe it's just wishful thinking (BTW, still die-hard Dangel, but I didn't really get interested in it until ATS S2, before that I never really considered it an actual 'ship considering she was only in a couple episodes of BTVS)

Oh and you're allowed to choose multiple people for those who like Buffy with more than one person

Faith is a Slayer so she understands Buffy for sure. And she's obviously in love with her. And I believe she would never ever hurt Buffy again(if Buffy wouldn't get on her nerve too much, lol). Plus, she's human. Buffy really needs a healthy relationship that way.

But from Buffy's side, I don't think she wanna get with Faith. Someone needs to do something to spark them. But in S8, it's like Fuffy will never happen. 🙁

So yeah, this is my opinion about best match for her, not Buffy's opinion.

Edit: Little Faith leading moment officially ended. And yay that someone voted Riley. 🙂

Xander is my vote. I'm a big Bander shipper... Maybe not the Xander of the first few seasons. But later on, including s8, they SHOULD get together aaargh! Sorry Mini but Fuffy come third for me, behind Bander and Briley 😀

My almost first choice was going to be Spike, then Willow...but then I realized that Faith was really her best match. If only Faith hadn't gone all crazy after killing that guy. But there is still hope!

I voted for Angel. Hey what kind of Bangel would I be if I didn't vote for him? lol 😀 For me Angel was and will always be the best match for Buffy vampire or human. I am still rooting for them both and that is all I can do as TPTB will ultimately decide. I just hope they think like me.😉

So Angel, Faith and Spike are all tied. Predictable. I only included Riley because there's always the odd person who likes Briley. I think Pike could be a good match too because he is human but then again he hasn't made a canonical appearance since "The Origin" comic. So I stick with my original opinion, either Faith or Angel, only reason why I don't think Spike is her best match is mostly because of the AR. Sorry.

OK, I'm admittedly now a horrid Spuffy, but I just couldn't bring myself to vote for Spike.. It was my initial response, of course. But, after a moment of consideration, I decided that I really love the Core Four relationship more than any other. They just have a sort of completion that no romantic relationship could ever challenge. Friendship forever. 😀

Oh, don't worry about it sweetie, I've also gone through "Weeeeelll... I like Spuffy the most... But MAYBE Bangel is the real "Meant to be" couple..." moments.. And despite my choosing friendship over romance I AM a hardcore Spuffy! (sw) It's simply because Bangel does have that "destined" feel to it. Even though I don't like it much. 😛

I voted Spike. Surprise surprise. But I really think he understood her like no one else did. As he said, he saw her at both her best and worst. Spuffy ftw!😀

I think there's one thing everyone can agree on. I'd hate to see Buffy alone for the rest of her life. I don't think anyone should be alone. Oh and as for my current opinion on Spuffy, S7 was nice, seeing those two as friends but I think Spike has moved on. I'd be upset if in the S8 comics Spike was still chasing after Buffy, it degraded both their characters in S6 IMO. And even though Faith is very much in love with Buffy, Buffy doesn't seem to care much about her anymore. But I do think she is very much Buffy's best match, besides Angel that is.

I'm still on the fence with this idea. I definitely think no one should be alone, but I wouldn't be completely devastated if Buffy ended up alone, meaning in no personal relationship. Besides, she'll still have the Scoobies 🙂
