As a Cangel fan, I couldn't possibly put Gwen with Angel. I'm not sure I'd put Gwen with anyone, she seems too much of a free spirit for that. Maybe she and Faith would be an interesting match.

I liked how Gwen made Gunn feel. Though I wouldn't ship them personally. I think I'd choose Gwen/Angel but just for a bit of fun I'd like to see her team up with Spike.

Well, to give a serious answer, Angel. First, you have the Batman-Catwoman trope to play with. Second, the girls who can't touch anyone without hurting them meets the boy who is dead inside kind of has a nice pairing to it, as others have stated. And three, Angel's skillsets are the best for caper episodes, the only reason to involve Gunn is if you need a reason while Angel couldn't do it by himself. I thought either him or Gunn worked well. Or, a Cajun gambling themed character, as one does.

Is it weird that I can see her and Xander together? I recently wrote a post-season 7 fanfic and had a bit where he opens up to her about leaving Anya at the altar and he kind of tells her that had he married her he might have been at her side when they were fighting in Chosen - therefore could have saved her. But, I wasn't sure that I could have made it work. Want to know what the majority thinks. Could I make it work?
