Will Buffy Have a Season 8 Romance? (possible spoilers if you haven't read # 1)

The key word in the statement is, "Buffu misses THE SEX." Romance never entered into it, and I have a sneaking suspicion that our favorite Slayer is going to be looking less for romance as she is for someone to scratch her itch. Everyone she's ever loved has left her in one way or another, and I honestly doubt that she's very eager to get on that merry-go-round again so soon. Buffy is mature enough now to realize that sex doesn't necessarily have to be accompanied by love, and she might just find that she preferrs it that way at this stage of her life.

Is everybody forgetting that despite Buffy missing sex, which is a natural human thing, she isn't really looking for a love right now...remember the whole cookie analogy and how she's not done baking and when she's done that's when she'll want somebody "to eat" her. I doubt after a year and a half of making that statement she's ready to jump into the sack with her soulmate. And yeah the kiss of true love doesn't have to be romance it could very well be Dawn, Xander, Willow, or Giles who love Buffy very very much. Also I don't know the boots could be from Nathan Petrelli from Heroes, I mean he can fly

Someone who loved Buffy but wasn't necessarily loved in return... Sounds like Spike to me.

As far as romance/boyfriends go, I don't think Season 8 will get too far into it. Identifying the true love is one thing, but letting Buffy have a good, solid relationship - so not in the Verse realm. I think we're going to see the beginnings of something and then the focus will switch to Cleveland.

And yes, I can't wait for both Angel and Spike to show up, I wouldn't bet against them showing up with a dragon and Illyria in tow. 🙂
 
I'm of the opinion that Buffy should be single for awhile. All of her post-Angel romances haven't held my interest (Riley was boring, and Spike got annoying when he was with her). I also think having her be with Xander would be kinda weird...they're too much like a brother and sister.
 
Man, when did Xander and Buffy become brother and sister? I never saw that change happen. Xander has always and WILL ALWAYS be in love with Buffy. Yes of course he loved Anya, and intensely too, but I don't think he ever fell out of love with Buffy. Regardless, I think it'd be awesome to see Buffy get her sex on with Xander. I think he's earned it, and he does look so awesome with the eye patch.

I'm sort of easy to please with Buffy and her relationships... I wouldn't mind seeing Buffy and Xander finally develop a relationship, but I'm also a long time Bangel fan, and I don't mind Spuffy either. If you've read issue 2
it's clear that Buffy might be thinking about Xander in a different way now, and he was thinking about kissing her when Amy asked him. But it could be anyone that's in love with Buffy, regardless if she loves them or not

I thought that was made kind of obvious in Restless. In Xander's dream he sexualises every female EXCEPT Buffy and when she is sitting in the sandpit she calls him 'big brother', showing that sub-conciously at least, he knows that their relationship is that of a brother and sister.

But Xander...I guess I'm among the majority that thinks them getting together would be sweet. I mean, c'mon...they'd be adorable and compatible and all that stuff. They totally should. I vote yes.

The flying feet could ALSO be Peter Petrelli from Heroes. Don't forget my Peter Hotness can fly.
 
Ok you guys/gals keep talking about Spike & Angle, that's OLD NEWS. I don't think it's ether & I'll tell u why. Josh said he can't use them in comic, or he has to get some special permission to use them. So why bother so soon.

Remember it's some one who WANTS TO BE WITH HER not the other way around. It's makes perfect sense. He is in love with her because she helped save him in S7. The whole speech at the end & all, "the people I wont to thank." He is this kind of week, nerdy guy & she is way strong & all authority. Not to mention in charge of her own army of Slayers. Plus it's totally out of left field. Were all thinking he is kind of gay or something. No one would think that about the 2 of them. Now I am not saying she will really hook up with him, but that's not the point. HE wants to be with HER! (And who wouldn't!!!!!) Xan had a crush on her for a while & she never felt that way back.
 
I really really don't think it's Andrew. I don't think he's in love with her, he just admires her, sees her as a leader, he wants to be in her gang.

Someone a few years ago wrote a fiction on the Fan Fiction Net that dealt with that very subject called "Never Saw That Coming." My objection to that (apart from the fact that I am almost certain he is gay) is that just as a lioness would never mate with a jack rabbit, Buffy would NEVER have an affair with Andrew. Hell, I'd choose Riley over Andrew, though not by much.

As much as I truly believe that Buffy truly belongs with Spike, I'm pretty sure it'll be some new character.

Yes but remember they said the "PERSON" wants to be with Buffy, NOT Buffy wants to be with the person. That's why I was thinking it would Andrew. HE would want HER not the other way around. I could NEVER see Buff wonting to be with HIM. He just isn't her type.
 
Well that would be not suspected at all 😛 But yeah I also think he's gay, he was clearly in love with Warren. Anyway if Buffy does have a romance with someone new I doubt it will have much to do with the kiss of true love.. maybe.

It explains it in the comic, the kiss has to be from some one who passionately loves her, and like amy says, unless dawns a twisted sister it wouldnt work



But i think its Spike, the mystiry guy, he has a spike look to him, but i could be wrong

yeah, i get that now...but at the time i wrote that, none of us had read the second comic. we didn't know the specifics, or at least i didn't.
i'm still going with Spike, though! yeah, biased, i know...
