Lol, I'm a China supporter, so...

Except in table tennis, since my country actually has a chance to win something. Fighting for Bronze. It's funny; one of the running jokes in my country is that we're China Team 2, because our table tennis players are all foreign talent from China.

Gymnastics are on right now (I'm sure its what was going on earlier today...or yesterday rather). I am amazed at how these little bitty girls get their bodies to twist and bend like they do! I don't think I could ever be that coordinated; my two left feet get in the way!
 
I finally got to see some gymnastics yesterday. It was really good and America are on fire. Their team is very good this year.
 
I just watched the NBC encore presentation of the women's team gymnastics finals, and WOW! Off the charts incredible. For me those are by far the most fun events to watch. The American women absolutely rocked it!
 
Canada now has 6 medals! And one of them is silver! Very very happy despite the fact that my mom told me Alexandre Despatie and Reuben Ross finished in 6th position. Which isn't so bad though, because Alex came real close to not attending the Olympics at all.
 
I'm so glad Team GB finally got some Gold medals today, we got Gold in the women's rowing and the men's cycling (Wiggins did really well, he's now won the most Olympic Medals for the UK at 7).

Rather random, but does anyone know why the UK are going by team Great Britain and not the United Kingdom?
 
I havent seen much the last few days. All they seem to air is swimming, swimming and more swimming and it bores me to tears! Australia is doing ok, not brilliant but not terrible either. I would like to see some coverage of other sports so I can cheer from the lounge, but channel 9 sucks!

I'm not sure about that actually, have we always been Great Britain in the other Olympics, will be interesting to find out why we're Great Britain and not United Kingdom. Wonder if it has anything to do with Ireland being in it.

I've been watching it a bit here and there, I watched the shooting, which I wouldn't normally watch but I'm glad I did because our guy got Gold in that. And I watched a bit of the cycling and saw Sir Chris Hoy, Phillip Hinds and Jason Kenny get Gold. I've been watching a bit of the rowing as well and the canoe slalam. I think we're seeing a lot more this time because of timezones and because it's here in London.

I absolutely loved the opening ceremony, it was absolutely amazing, and Danny Boyle did an amazing job, everyone else who was involved did an amazing job too. I've actually met Danny Boyle and some of his family and I got to know his dad a little, but he's the nicest guy you could ever meet, he's so down to earth. I even asked him if he wanted a cup of tea once lol. But yeah he's really nice.
 
According to google, the UK has been team GB since 1896. The full name is "the Great Britain and Northern Ireland Olympic team"
 
^ Ah right, I didn't know that. Though on the medal table it is listed 'Great Britain & Northern Ireland'

But Ireland came in on their own in the opening ceremony, and I know that Northern Ireland is part of Britain, but they're listed with us on the medal table so I'm a little confused.

NI isn't a part of Britain. GB is England, Scotland and Wales. NI is part of the UK.
I watched Michael Phelps' final race today, where his team won gold. I have to say, love him or hate him, the guy is the man. He's absolutely incredible.

Sweden had a great day yesterday.

Missed the gold in triathlon with 9 thousands of a second and the bronze in long jump with 1 cm.
Still, by our standard that's a good day. At least it was close which is much more than we are used too. 😛

Fun to see GB's success in the track and fields. Amazing crowd.

10 medals for Canada!!! And our first gold medal in trampoline. Congrats to Rosie Maclennan for it 😀

Brent Hayden and Ryan Cochrane were also really good in swimming (respectively 110 and 1,500 meters freestyle) and our rowing teams of 8 both won silver.

I am very happy with Canada right now 😀 And the synchronized swimming competition and men 3m solo diving haven't even started yet!
 
Team GB had an awesome day yesterday and we've just won gold in men's tennis which is awesome. Very proud of team GB 😀
