I wish joss would get involved. im not seeing it because Its unfair on him, This is going to sound really selfish but im not going to see it because I dont want to be unfair on myself. I love the show and i will always be loyal to it. i see the cast as the charechters now so I would only feel comfortable watching them as the charechters. i dont want any piece of rubbish ruining the series for me. that why when i saw the origional film i had to spend the whole time imagining it was dracula and not buffy. which wasnt to hard to do since it sucked so bad . . . . . and i dont want to see a repeat

I wouldn't really want Joss involved mainly cause it's a remake and we don't want a damn remake we want a continuation 🙁

I might watch it on DVD but I probably wouldn't see it at the cinema unless it looked good in preview or got really great reviews and I'm not holding my breath for that.

Most likely I'll go see it at the theater, although I think the movie's going to be terrible, I'm still a little interested.

As my new username on here will suggest, I'm also a Highlander fan and so very much used to having differing versions of a given concept to enjoy. The first Highlander movie continues to the second but only partially connects to the television series. The third movie may or may not be canon to the series. The fourth movie continues the series but uses only certain details from the first movie and the fifth movie? Don't get me started on where that fits in.

Same goes for the Transformers. Been a fan for many years and I've had numerous versions of the main story to watch and read. The animated shows, the various comic book series and the movie all tell their own version of the same story and I enjoy them all (well, nearly them all) equally.

That being the case I'm willing to give this new version of Buffy a try. It's going to be strange having any Buffy type story that doesn't somehow involve Joss but I'll judge it based on what I see, when I see it.

Hell, if the rumour of Megan Fox being the new Buffy happens to be true, I'll invest in the movie myself! 😉

I'm not too happy about the movie's developers, and I'm sure a lot of people aren't as well.
But I know that I'm going to end up watching it regardless, whether if it's a good or bad movie.
And the people saying no to watching it will end up watching it too.

I have my doubts about the movie, although to be honest I haven't heard much about the premise. I think that bringing in all new characters in some form of a comtinuation of the series could maybe work, even if it's not my ideal movie plot. The new Star Trek movie was done really well I've heard, so maybe this one will surprise me as well. But then there's the part with no Joss Whedon, and my optimism turns into concern :silly:

So yeah, I'll probably go see it just because it's BTVS. I wouldn't garauntee that I'd like it (I think if Joss and the original cast were involved there would be very little chance of not fallling in love with the movie!), but I would want to see what they came up with and give my educated opinion on it as a Buffy fan. I'd feel like I'm missing out on something if I didn't!

You totally need to see Star Trek :D
It's the curiosity for me.
I'm pretty damn sure it's going to be an aweful film but I've seen a hell of a lot of aweful films due to being curious.
Also, I've seen the original movie enough times to not be able to say that I wont watch it because the first one was crap 😛
