I haven't seen it yet, i'm seeing it tomorrow but i don't think its uncallled for that Halle Berry wants more time devoted to one of the Key players in the X-men world, honestly, Storm has been, in the series from the beginning, one of THE most valued, intriguing, positive, powerful and resourceful of all the X-Men, infact the way her character has been 'handled' in the first two movies has been shockingly second tier.
Personally i feel that Halle Berry(and fans) have the right to demand more screen time from this character, i mean she is as, if not more, integral to this verse than Wolverine, and why he should be the main focus of three films AND a spin-off is beyond me.
I do like his character, but fair is fair, he isnt The X-Men, technically in the movies he hasn't officially become one, he is just there fighting with them, and as the movies are called 'X-Men' and they aren't the Wolverine ones yet, other key characters should get their chance.
I don't really like Cyclops, but i do think the way they have handled his character has been quite poor, demoted to the 'other man' the obstacle between a relationship of Logan and Jean.
Nah, i'm 100% behind Berry(who incidently was paid exactly the same amount of money as she would have been in a lesser key role-so she isnt doing it for monetary purposes) and her stand.

I loved this film!!!! I cried when Wolverine kills Jean and Prof X dies!!! Rouge wasnt in it that much.. that was kinda the only thing i was disappointed about... other than that the movie rocked my socks!
I get what youre saying, but just wait til you see it. I get she's a big character, but so is Jean, Cyclops, Rogue, Xavier and everyone else. The story was not in anyway about her character, yet she got most of the movie.

I have seen it and wont continue this discussion in here, due to some reveals i may accidently give, but i think Storm was used perfectly in this movie.
Thats not to say i'm entirely pleased with some of the other characters, but remember, X-Men 1 was about Rogue, X2 dealt quite abit with Jean, Xavier has always been integral to the team, and Honestly his character, the way this film was going, could not have done anything more than he did.
Cyclops has been given a 'bum-deal' since the first movie in my opinion, continued here i gotta say, but to be honest i think thats down to poor casting(Marsden has no range at all).

OK, before i start i'm gonna have to warn you, i'm gonna swear once in this post, its gonna be a big one too, not crap or damn but the F-Word. I apologize in advance.
OH My GORSH, how flipping great was this movie.
I think i had an orgasm of the man variety a few times in the cinema and honestly i can't exactly be sure it had nothing to do with those pants Wolvy was wearing!!!!!
OK, lets start at the beginning.
That Sentinal was awesome. I loved how Storm leading, Wolverine out for himself, Bobby/Rogue/Kitty sexual tension and Collosus being just awesome with the throw, made this just my fave opening to the movies.
I also liked how Collosus used Rogues ability to protect her by touching her so she turned metal, that was freaking awesome(remember the swear word, thats not it😉 ).
Storm/Halle was extremely beautiful in this movie.
I loved the rise of Phoenix the first, but i felt a bit cheated with the Death of Cyclops(if indeed he is dead, creative writing could solve that should they pursue another - and they better cause if not i'm gonna kick butt). I've loved Cyclops in the Comics and Cartoon, but i've constantly been disappointed by the movies interpretation of him, including the poor casting.
That scene in the Lab that is currently in my banner, i think that was my first of many orgasms, THAT was hot....and funny.
Beast is now my fave X-Men character, i don't care what any of you think, because from the moment he arrived on screen, he was just magnificent, it was the perfect marriage of character, movie, story and casting, thus orgasm number 2(is it wrong that I, a heterosexual male wants to play with his blue furry chest?)
Storm was great in this movie. She deserved to take lead, she deserved it because of who she is.
They needed a leader, Cyclops was gone, Jean was gone, Wolvy isnt a leader, Storm was the right choice.
And it was so flipping awesome to see her use her full array of Weather/Flying powers.
Xavier....OHHHH MY Gosh, i cannot believe he flipping(its coming soon i promise) died. That was such a cool scene made even better by the fact Phoenix killed him and Magneto was obviously deeply affected by it....maaaaaan thats some orgasmic filming right there....thus number 3.
When Storm decided to keep the school open, i knew it was coming but i was extatic that Beast approved, it was just perfect to know that he had that level of faith in her.
The Cure, i liked that ok but it wasnt great. Personally i could have done without the Cure and had more focus on Phoenix and the Brotherhood(should have been the Hellfire Club to keep in league with the comics but thats just me being nit picky).
Ben Foster, gotta say i hated the idea of him as Angel but kudos to the guy, though a little shorter then one would have prefered, he did basically look right, made even better by the fact he had very few lines.
Vinnie 'Flipping' Jones.....i hate myself for this, but he did ok. I liked Juggernauts opening 'needing a pee' and his chase with Kitty and the way she beat him was fabulous, almost makes me wish we'd had more of her in the other films.....who am i kidding, I DO wish we'd had more of her in the other movies.
I understand the Rogue/Bobby/Kitty story having to be there so as to help Rogue make her decision, btu honestly it bored me a little.
Man o man o man o man o man....that fight on Alcatraz was beyond exception, it was triple orgasm, i swear.
I will talk more about this i'm sure later.
Rogue losing her powers, i think was a poor ending for her, all i can do is hope that when Magneto was playing chess and the piece moved a little, that was a sign that the cure doesnt work, that its a suppressant only and someday, if the gene is strong enough, it will appear again.
Ok, i warned you, here it comes, FU CK me sideways, that teaser bit with Moira Taggart at the very end was absolutely pant soakingly awesome.....thank you all for saying wait.
I would have missed that, infact there was a row of people behind me that were leaving who i told to stay cause apparently there was one final revelation at the end(not gonna lie, was a bit nervous at one point that you lot was messing with me).

I love James Marsden. But I understand why he was barely in this. He was filming Superman (or Spiderman, I cant remember which) at the same tiime.

OK, well, I have decided (only took me a day and a half) that I did infact like the film. A lot! The thing that bothered me is I was trying to hate it cos they killed my favourite character (maybe)
So heres my thoughts.
Phoenix: LOVED her! So much so that my hair is now like hers and Im considering changing my Halloween costume (not something I do). However, very much underused. She should have gotten more of the film. To me, she was more important than she was made out. She (allegedly) killed the the man she loved, followed by the Professor. These are big things. Therefore, they should have been dealt with more. However she turned out to be more of a sub plot. Magneto seemed to have these big plans for her. She was his big gun. What happened with that?
Beast: Loved him. Kelsey Grammer was the perfect actor to play him. But the one problem I had. I thought he was a doctor, not a politician.
Xavier. I cried. I actually jumped a mile out of my seat when he died. I didnt see it coming at all. I really didnt think they'd kill him. I get that there wasnt much for him to do. But I have to wonder (sorry Al) that if Halle Berry hadnt threatened to leave if the writers didnt give her a bigger part, would they have killed him? It seems like they killed him just so Storm could have something to do. (I know they needed Jean to go over the edge but she'd already done that when she killed Scott)
Rogue: WTF? Seriously? I suspect things could go badly here. If indeed the cure doesnt work, Bobby could be in real trouble. Theyve been going out a couple years now and not even been able to kiss. Now that she can touch him, things will probably get intense. And if the cure doesnt work (well you saw what happened when she kissed that guy in the first movie, this could be so much worse!)
Kitty: Loved her. Funny girl. But seemed more like a plot device than a character. Seemed to me like she was stuck in there to get Rogue jealous. She was in the first two in the background and now all of a sudden, she's one of them? But none of the other kids are.
Storm: Annoyed the hell out of me. But thats just cos Im angry that people had to take a backseat to her. I wont get into it.

Mystique: All I have to say about her is Rebecca Romajin is HOT with black hair!
Juggernaut: Amazing. I laughed so hard at him. But then I love Vinne Jones.
Pyro: Was sure he was gonna get cured and burn his hand off with that lighter thing 🙂 Loved the fight with him and Bobby!
Callisto: Was in Buffy! A potential 🙂 But she was good. I liked her.
Psylocke: Disappointingly got one line. Pathetic.
Collosus: Love him and Rogue using their powers together 🙂 Underused.
In fact Multiple Man, Arclight, all the other "main mutants" were majorly underused. I didnt even see Jubilee or Siryn.
Angel: Ben Foster was amazing. But at the start, I thought he was gonna be this major character. But he had about two lines! What a waste!
So, my theories about "the cure".
Either it doesnt work properly, or its temporary.

I was going to see this today, but was too tired from work. I suppose I'll watch it eventually, but for right now I would like to ask for a spoiler if I may. Wolf just said that Jean Grey is mostly in the background in this one....but does she at least become the Phoenix?

i hope the cure is only temp ...... rouge..... maginto.... mystique.... i was gutted.... this movie was really emotional..... ad i was actual scared of the phoniex.... so good film making lol 🙂 cryed too.... prof x.... was dissapointed with rouge... come on super strength and flying ???? but storm totaly improved in this 😀 amazing. sooo going to see this movie again. 🙂

OK, this could be one heck of a discussion🙂
See where you blame Storm/Halle Berry, i blame the Cure story. I think that was handled quite poorly, in that not enough time was dedicated to the likes of Rogue and Angel. These two are of huge significance in the comic version, but are cast asunder and it becomes that weapon(which although cool, i thought again was too quick).
See Storm had to step up as leader, she had to prove herself to us, the viewer that Xavier was right in suggesting that she take lead. If it would have just been, Xavier dies, Storm takes over with nothing going, i'd have been really angry, i mean lest we forget Storm is a Goddess in Africa.
As for the Xavier/Phoenix story, that had to be dealt with like thta. Cyclops(i'm not sure he is dead, just something seemed a little off) could be viewed as an accident, a mistake. We had to see Phoenix kill, and kill someone inportant. I get what you are saying, but honestly, i saw absolutely nothing wrong with how these things were done.
Cyclops is one of my fave Cartoon/Comic characters but it has been disgraceful how poorly he has been treated in the movies, and as for Marsden going to Superman, well thats given me even less of an opinion of him.
Fact is, you sign onto a character you stay with him. He should have stuck with Cyclops, not jumped ship because his Buddy is directing a new movie and he could have a jucier role...he should have been the one to stop Phoenix, infact i'm actually really angry that it wasn't......
He was still called Dr Hank McCoy, its not uncommon for Doctors to become politicians. Infact Beast is the perfect guy to become one. He is truly learned, diplomatic and powerful.
But i gotta agree with you on him being such a great character.
Well see thanx to that little scrap at the end with Magneto, i personally believe that this cure was only temporary, now that Leech is free i'm guessing its only a matter of time before the effects begin to cancel. Having said that, lets hope that she isnt getting jiggy with Bobby when they come back, last thing either of them need is a power drain at the wrong moment and her turning something into an ice bullet.....owww

I totally agree with Kitty.
Love her character and i adored her tete a tete with Juggernaut, but it was like...'where the heck did she come from', i mean even Collosus had some lines in 2.
And the whole Bobby/Kitty thing, personally Rogue is Gambits lady so i wouldnt have shed a tear if he'd have cheated on her.
I think you should because honestly i don't believe that the characters like Phoenix took a back seat because of her.
I would say that Storms more pronounced role affected the cameos of alot of the other characters, but the major ones, i think they were done the way they were gonna be.
It should have been the Dark Phoenix Saga not the Cure, thats where the issue is.
I have loved his character and i still thought he was great, but it did feel like he lost his way a bit and the writers had backed off him near the end.
Though i loved how he went at Pyro.
Personally i would have liked to have seen Magneto paying some respects to Charles in his own way, like see him hovering in the back ground at the funeral, or even say something when playing chess before he moved the piece.
Though Juggernaut was better than expected.
Jean, i gathered was 3/4, Phoenix was 5. Personally i don't think that this class had any effect of the mutant, if the cure was administered i think it would take effect. I'd suggest rather that the more ability, thus higher the Class the more 'Cure' is needed, but once its in the system its doing what it needs to.
I think that the reason Phoenix was killed was because there was no 'cure' at hand and Wolverine had to do what he had to so she would stop, and remember she wanted that.
This is how i would class them
Class 5 - Phoenix
Class 4 - Xavier, Magneto, Storm, Mystique
Pesonally, mutant strength wise, i don't think Wolverine is in there league, nor is Beast, Bobby, Rogue, Cyclops, Jean, Kitty and Pyro, having said that the way that Magneto and Co were so dismissive of Level 3's indicates that they have little power or aren't exactly that formidable, so i would need toknow the criteria for the groupings.

As for the Xavier/Phoenix story, that had to be dealt with like thta. Cyclops(i'm not sure he is dead, just something seemed a little off) could be viewed as an accident, a mistake. We had to see Phoenix kill, and kill someone inportant. I get what you are saying, but honestly, i saw absolutely nothing wrong with how these things were done.
Cyclops is one of my fave Cartoon/Comic characters but it has been disgraceful how poorly he has been treated in the movies, and as for Marsden going to Superman, well thats given me even less of an opinion of him.
Fact is, you sign onto a character you stay with him. He should have stuck with Cyclops, not jumped ship because his Buddy is directing a new movie and he could have a jucier role...he should have been the one to stop Phoenix, infact i'm actually really angry that it wasn't......
He was still called Dr Hank McCoy, its not uncommon for Doctors to become politicians. Infact Beast is the perfect guy to become one. He is truly learned, diplomatic and powerful.
But i gotta agree with you on him being such a great character.
Well see thanx to that little scrap at the end with Magneto, i personally believe that this cure was only temporary, now that Leech is free i'm guessing its only a matter of time before the effects begin to cancel. Having said that, lets hope that she isnt getting jiggy with Bobby when they come back, last thing either of them need is a power drain at the wrong moment and her turning something into an ice bullet.....owww

I totally agree with Kitty.
Love her character and i adored her tete a tete with Juggernaut, but it was like...'where the heck did she come from', i mean even Collosus had some lines in 2.
And the whole Bobby/Kitty thing, personally Rogue is Gambits lady so i wouldnt have shed a tear if he'd have cheated on her.
I think you should because honestly i don't believe that the characters like Phoenix took a back seat because of her.
I would say that Storms more pronounced role affected the cameos of alot of the other characters, but the major ones, i think they were done the way they were gonna be.
It should have been the Dark Phoenix Saga not the Cure, thats where the issue is.
Personally i'm in agreement here.
I have loved his character and i still thought he was great, but it did feel like he lost his way a bit and the writers had backed off him near the end.
Though i loved how he went at Pyro.
Personally i would have liked to have seen Magneto paying some respects to Charles in his own way, like see him hovering in the back ground at the funeral, or even say something when playing chess before he moved the piece.
Hate Vinnie Jones, but i loved that he needed a 'pee'.
Though Juggernaut was better than expected.
Personally, i think that the cure is only temp. I mean until they have a fully successful experiment that sees a mutant lose their powers for the rest of their life, they can't be sure its indefinite.
Jean, i gathered was 3/4, Phoenix was 5. Personally i don't think that this class had any effect of the mutant, if the cure was administered i think it would take effect. I'd suggest rather that the more ability, thus higher the Class the more 'Cure' is needed, but once its in the system its doing what it needs to.
I think that the reason Phoenix was killed was because there was no 'cure' at hand and Wolverine had to do what he had to so she would stop, and remember she wanted that.
This is how i would class them
Class 5 - Phoenix
Class 4 - Xavier, Magneto, Storm, Mystique
Pesonally, mutant strength wise, i don't think Wolverine is in there league, nor is Beast, Bobby, Rogue, Cyclops, Jean, Kitty and Pyro, having said that the way that Magneto and Co were so dismissive of Level 3's indicates that they have little power or aren't exactly that formidable, so i would need toknow the criteria for the groupings.
MAN I WAS TOTALLY THINKING THAT WHILE WATCHING...i was having flashbacks of Yellow Crayons!!!!
