Yeah I herd that somewhere as well, and the wolverine movie is not going to be X-Men 4 if it's a prequel!

I heard somewhere that Xmen 4 will be based on Magneto.. like the first three are based on wolverine right.. well i just read or heard somewhere the 4th one will be based on magento.. i dont know if its true though..?????

Just wishful thinking, but wouldn't it be fun if X4 were about some of the X-Men when they were teenagers? Obviously, no Wolverine, which would be a loss, but we could see some of the others dealing with their powers (comparing powers?), cliques, dating, secrets etc. Teenage superheroes in high school--where have we seen that before?

Isn't there a bit in the movie where Xavier is teaching ethics, or something at the school, and the class is watching a video about putting a separate consciousness in a brain dead body? Is that what's going to happen to Xavier in X men 4? if so would that mean another actor will play Xavier

I remember reading something, I think it was from on of the news things on After-Darkness, were one of the producers says (Totally paraphrasing) "Look at the way that Phoenix kills ta kin the molecules of people apart, what if they could just be joined back together to reform the person"

it's ashame the Phoenix died she was an interesting character, i mean i'd of liked to of seen acharacter development of her, say switch from Jean Grey to Phoenix, a bit longer than they showed.maybe Professer Xavier will come back as a different mutant like Phoenix....you never know with mutants...

The Phoenix death was the one death that didn't ring true to me. I mean I get it. Wolverine killed her to save her from herself, but the way it played out just felt false to me. It was like if Xander got close to veiny Willow by talking yellow crayon, then sunk a shiv in her.

You know funny you said that N4H, i was rather expecting wolverine to get all Xandery with her....when he said " I love you after she goes "help me", maybe her death will be temporary .....you never know...but it was an awsome scene though, it was done like there was no other way to help her.

o, i dont think Scott and Jean are really dead, and I think the first movie was about Rogue, the 2nd about Wolverine, and the 3rd about Jean, and just to be established, there IS going to be a fourth one right?

Question for those regretting the absence of Gambit. If you could slice out any of the other character lines to make room for Gambit, which one would you choose?

I could trade that iceboy/fireboy nonsense for some Gambit action in a hurry.

Hmmm, see here you are all going 'I don't think Jean is Dead' or 'they should bring her back'.
In the comics, alot of the X-Men(and the other guys) are revived numerous times, but in the world of Film, don't you think the movies would start to lose some of its integrity if people are killed in one movie and revived in another.
It kinda makes you feel 'whats the point of killing them'.


Now to N4H's question for Gambit.
Personally, i feel the entire 'Cure' story should be taken out, as neither that or the Phoenix one was properly done. Had they focused more on the Phoenix Saga(leaving the 'Cure' story for a new 'Apocalypse' Trilogy) they would have had plenty of time to bring in Gambit, give Scott a proper death, allow Phoenix to truly rise and give one or two other characters *cough cough Rogue cough cough* more deserving screen time.

HOWEVER, i read somewhere that it wasn't lack of screen time that made the decision to 'No Gambit' it was Josh Holloway(Sawyer - Lost).
He was the ONLY actor wanted for the role but he turned it down as it was too similar to his Lost role.

Why wasnt rouge in it very much.... we understand why cyclops dyed so close to start ( superman returns....) but why hardly no rouge when she was a majour charature in the first 2 movies ???? COME ON HER AND LOGAN ??? big farther relationship there but not in this one?

yep we don't see rogue that much in this movie...and I just remember a few moments when she's with wolverine...but like faithlehan said that one was about jean...
That would've been cool if there was more characters of the comics cuz just a few share a lot of screen time...
