I like it. Any dice/random number generator is a huge turn-off and no-no for me, unless the other parts are really good like MTG.Small World - A clever strategy game that doesn't rely on dice rolls to decide outcomes. You have to chose an army, decide where to attack, chose when to reduce that army and then go again.
It all depends on the execution of it for me. It's the biggest weakness of the Risk board games because the players are going head to head and it can be a cause of immense frustration. Other times it adds a nice amount of variation and calculated gambles. In Dead of Winter you have to roll a dice if you move from one location to another to see if you'll be bitten or killed by zombies. Where it's a mostly co-operative game and the die rolling is reduced you don't get the same frustration level as in Risk.Any dices/random number generators are a huge turn-off and no-no for me.
