Your Favorite Spuffy Episode?

My favorites are the ones not yet seen. I am convinced that Joss has finally made up his mind about which vampire Buffy will end up with and season 8 was in part his swan song for Bangel; or maybe that's what I tell myself to be able to bare it.

For me; Something Blue, Spike crying at the end of The Gift; along with Spike and Buffy in First Date round out the top four. The scenes in End of Days and Chosen are tarnished by the appearance of the colossal forehead. 😛

Number one is a tie between Afterlife and five simple words.

Out..for..a..walk...Bitc*!

This was the last classic "I hate you so much I wanna rip that stake out of your ass and kill you with it you bloody bint!" line of Spike's to Buffy

P.S. Slightly off topic; but I finally got into The Vampire Diaries after catching bits of the show here and there. Holy crap!...why didn't anyone tell me something this good was on the air? I'm totally rocking my Damon hair right now. 😎

TVD karma! I recently discovered it as well. It's great!

Look at it this way. She choose to be with Spike in "Chosen" because she went back to him although Angel was still in town. That says a lot in my book 😀

Really? I've only seen the first 5 episodes and I'm still not that hooked. I guess I'll have to keep going because I'm not convinced yet. My newfound love for "Supernatural" though...oh my God. This show is seriously underrated. The acting and writing are phenomenal. 🙂

Keep going with TVD, Britt! I didn't get hooked until about episode 7/8.

No, really. If you can get past the first four or five episodes of TVD S1, then I think you will really see that it is a show that is so amazingly fantastic in every way possible. The storyline's the character's have to tell us, the character's themselves (DAMON - definitely speaks for himself), the ships that come out of it ... both fanon and actual canon (i.e. Tyler/Caroline = fanon for now, but then you have Damon/Elena = fanon for right now but hopefully canon on the show at some point, etc.).

And then there's just Damon himself, really. There are things about him that remind me of Spike and then of course you know I'm totally shipping Damon/Elena hardcore and that's not about to change. I'd almost argue for them as passionately as I would argue for Spike and Buffy and for me, that's saying...A LOT. So, just please try and stick with it and see what's up. Seriously, I think you'll love Katherine. She's one fierce bitca, that Katherine. lol.

Yeah, that's what I hear, although no one can replace Spike ;) I'm definitely planning to keep going just out of curiosity :)

I hear a lot of good similarities between Spike/Buffy and Damon/Elena. Ah, that makes me want to start watching if it's all true! :D

You really should, because it's a very well developed show and the storylines are fantastic. I'm not just saying that, you can tell a lot of time, effort and thought goes into this show as far as character development, plot, etc. Plus, it has one hell of an amazingly amazing soundtrack of music to play around with, which I find is another way of interpreting a scene as far as what it means and what they character's are really saying both with their actions and their words.

Oh no, I'm not even suggesting that Damon Salvatore replace Spike in any way at all, what I'm saying is that while these character have two very distinctly different storyline's (as they should) and are different in a lot of their mannerism's and characteristics - there are still a few similarties they share. 🙂

One of my favorite things about this show, is the way it deals with the flashbacks and the fact that you can tell there's not just a visibly difference between Katherine and Elena, but that there is also a big difference in the way they act, the way they think, and the way they carry themselves. It's very easy to distinguish this.

Hehe, I know you weren't suggesting that. Like I said, I'm still planning on watching so I'll let you know :)
I can't really think of one. Still need to get through my btvs re-watch.:/

Ohh yeah, Steph you really do need to watch the rest of TVD and catch up.😀 You won't regret it.

I'm not Steph, lol :p
ok, i'm going to go a strange route here....

my favorite Spuffy episode is actually Bargaining... Where Buffy comes back and Spike is the one that recognizes she dug her way out of her own grave...

there's a few scenes where the two share something in their eyes, it's like that's where the connection really began for them

I think you mean "After Life" but I agree. That's one of my favorites

possibly, it's been a while since i re-watched S5

StarSlayer agrees: I'm not Steph, lol --
Britt. Sorry. haha! I think I getting confused. 😀 I know someone was watching TVD.

StarSlayer: Hehe, I know you weren't suggesting that. Like I said, I'm still planning on watching so I'll let you know.

Oh good, because there for a minute I thought it might have come across that way. lol.

Good. Yes, this. And when you do finish up season one and start catching up with this current season 2, definitely let me know so we can discuss all things Damon and Damon/Elena and whether Stefan/Elena are Buffy/Angel 2.0 watered down. rotfl.

Absolutely NO OFFENSE to the Buffy/Angel fans with that last comment. 🙂

Last I'll say about TVD in here; but really, I'm not an easy person to impress. I've seen every interpretation of vampires, werewolves, zombies and witches. This show has most definitely got a chance at the silver medal behind Buffy. True Blood will have to kick up it's game in order to compete. I've been working the graveyard shift for almost a year now; plus the fact that I haven't watched much tv besides my staples for the last few years is why i missed out.

The only things that bug me are Bonnie's over inflated sense of entitlement; and the fact that the vampires are made out to be so much stronger than werewolves. Damon and Elena are definitely a big draw for me; and they've been so much better to Delena fans than Joss was to us Spuffies.

Spuffy will always be the best; doesn't mean it can't share the spotlight.

Yeah, s3 of TrueBlood wasn't my fave, but I love that show too.

THIS. Everything about this post. I feel the same way towards Bonnie's over inflated sense of entitlement, but then there are fans of hers who would counter argue otherwise and it baffles me how they can't see this flaw in her character and just accept it for what it is - a flaw that irks several other fans nothing more or less than that. And you do have a point, they have been nicer to Damon/Elena than Joss has been to Spike/Buffy, but I have a feeling that if Kevin Williamson has his way this could be his chance to really have his Dawson/Joey that he always wanted with Stefan/Elena having them be endgame. Urgh!

But yes, getting back to the topic at hand, Spike and Buffy will always be best and I heart that you said it doesn't mean Damon/Elena can't share the spotlight because they can.

I'm going to give an ep a special mention here. It's not my favourite and it's not even really a spuffy episode but I feel that "Him" deserves some type of mention. I love the Spike/Buffy parts of this one so much because this is Buffy's acceptance episode. See, Buffy could never accept her feelings for Spike. She'd lie to Spike and her friends about them or try to turn them off or just plain deny to everyone, including herself that they were there. In this episode she stops that. She comes right out with it. "I have feelings for Spike and I am not ashamed of them." She even talks with Dawn about them.

It deserves an honourable mention.

It's got to be "Touched" though. It has so many sweet genuine moments and they get to be intimate (anyone who calls that a "friend" hug is in plain denial) without having to tear down the house in the process. Not that I mind that, of course!

It's just that she went from flinching from his touch in "Beneath You" to letting him be so close to her here. Just proof that she trusts him and has complete faith that he won't hurt her.

Yes, I know, I'm a hopeless romantic 🙄

Hopeless romantics for the win! :D
My favourite is the comedy moments in Crush, when it first dawns upon Buffy that Spike has feelings for her. Spike opening a door for Buffy, and buffy replying "what is this?" "Is this a date?" Spike offering buffy the drink saying its not blood. Spike laughing and joking with Joyce and Dawn when Buffy walks in. (I'm not sure if this bits in the same episode) It does have its downsides, obviously with Buffy rejecting Spike at the end. But then that leads on to great comedy moments in future episodes with the buffy robot 😀 Also, it is the pivotal episode where Spike gets over Drusilla, and comes to love buffy most for definite. 🙂

Fool for Love. I love all of it. Her getting to know him better. The end when he decides to comfort her.

my personal favorites

1): Crush
2): Fool for Love
3): Chosen (I love their final words to each other so much)
4): Something Blue

Crush is so underated
I like the first bit of Crush, but after that, I just feel majorly awkward. The part with the chains and (horror!) Buffy shrine.

My favourite Spuffy episodes? Top five would be Something Blue, Fool For Love, After Life, Once More With Feeling, Chosen, in no particular order.

It's incredibly hard to choose, but I'll go with Dead Things. It's amazingly intense, complex and multi-layered. Love it.
