Destiny- The life of Dawn Summers

"Buffy!" yelled Willow, chasing after her friend down the corridor, "Buffy, come back!"
Buffy continued power walking away and slammed the door behind her. Willow followed her onto the street, where she was standing next to the road, calling out for a taxi and waving her arms around.
By the time Willow had caught up, Buffy had stopped signaling for a cab. She stood there, arms crossed, deep in thought.
"What do you want?" she asked Willow, rather bluntly.
Willow gave Buffy her "˜sad face'. "Buffy, come on back inside, please."
Buffy shook her head to what Willow had said. "No," she began, "She's right, it's her life. She is gonna need me sooner or later, but then it might be too late."
Willow took her friends hand and walked her over to an empty bench, where they sat.
"Buffy, Dawn needs you now, just not the way you were in there."
"The way I was?!" asked Buffy, angered. "She's a moron Willow! All she ever does is get herself in trouble! She's clutts Will she always has been, you know that. This is her deal though, she doesn't want my help." Buffy looked to the floor.
"That's where you're wrong," said Willow, "she does want your help, but she wants to do it her way. She's got something going here Buffy, it might not be much, but she's doing okay for herself, better than we both thought she would be. Just let her lead Buffy, you're gonna have to follow her."
Buffy shook her head again, "Willow she can't lead."
Willow looked her friend square in the eye. "Buffy we both know that's not true. I know she was a clutts, but she's now one of the most powerful beings to ever exist, more so than you "“ or me."
Buffy looked up to the sky and groaned. "Okay, I'll follow her lead. God I wish she was still just my kid sister. She was so much easier to deal with."
The women stood up and smiled at each other. They then walked back inside.

Angel entered the room to see Buffy, Willow and Dawn seated around a coffee table, going over the notes Cordelia and Dawn had made.
He sat down in a leather arm chair and grabbed a few sheets of paper to look at.
"Where were you?" asked Buffy. She knew the answer but she wanted to see what he said.
"Just outside," he began, "getting some air."
Buffy rolled her eyes. "Funny for a guy who doesn't breathe." she said sarcastically.
"I was talking to Cordelia too," Angel added.
Buffy didn't comment, she just began scanning her sheets again.
"So where are with this?" asked Angel, "there's all this text but none of it is really making sense, someone get me up to speed here."
"Okay," began Dawn, putting her papers down. "Here's where we are. There is this girl right; I had a vision about her."
Angel quickly cut Dawn off, "You said vision right? As in Doyle and Cordelia vision? Are you the new link to the powers?"
Dawn nodded, "Yeah, Cordelia gave them to me, I still haven't paid her back yet," she said sarcastically.
"So that means you really are a champion then," stated Angel. "Go on anyway."
Dawn nodded. Angel had just called her a champion. Quickly, she got back to what she was saying. "Anyway, this girl Anna is possessed. She's got this demon inside of her; we're trying to narrow it down through this." Dawn put the sacrificial dagger in Angel's hands.
Angel studied it, "I know this," he began, "1854, in Chile. There was a breed of demon, called the Kroshall, I met a few, and they really weren't nice guys. They were supposed to have been banished from our dimension."
Buffy nodded, catching on, "So then how are these Kroshall demons back?" she asked.
Willow perked up. "I get it," she began, "maybe they aren't. Maybe the only way this demon can be here is in the body of somebody else. It was physically banished from this plane, but its spirit can still be here. It's possessed Anna, and now it is trying to bring itself back in the flesh, that's why it was going to do that sacrifice."
"So this thing has found a loophole," stated Angel, "We need to stop it before it corporealises."
Buffy nodded her head. "Right, I'm up for that plan. If we can't though, how bad is this thing? If we have to fight it I mean."
Angel breathed deeply, even though he didn't require air. "It's bad," he said.
"Then let's get to work," began Dawn, "I don't want it to get to that."
She stood up. "Willow, I need you to look through the Salgaman texts, try to find an incantation that will bind this demon's spirit from this dimension too. Once we get it out, we're gonna have to get rid of it." she passed Willow a book, which she began scanning through.
Angel noticed that the book was one of the volumes Wolfram and Hart had owned. You could choose and piece of writing you wanted to read, and the book could magically summon it.
"Dawn where did you get that?" asked Angel, surprised she had it.
"Stole it last year," she said with a smile, "while I was in L.A. Wolfram and Hart aren't missing it anyway."
Angel giggled.
"Angel I need you to head to Maddison Spiritual Service, try to find anything there that could help us. This demon has gotta have some sort of power source or maybe evenkness there."
Angel headed for the door, "I'll take the sewers" he said, looking outside and seeing the sun still up.
Buffy stood in front of Dawn. "Where do you want me?" she asked with a smile.
Dawn smiled back. "Me and you are gonna do something else." she stated.
"What are we doing?" asked Buffy.
Dawn put her coat on, "You and me Buffy"¦ "˜we're gonna do the exorcism."

I am enjoying this! keep going! i have afeeling i know what it is your going to do regarding a certain text you mentioned.....😉

Willow had been searching for answers for about an hour and a half now, and she wasn't having the best of luck. She hadn't had to get into research mode for a while now, but it was strangely a little refreshing.
"Damn it!" she yelled, "I can't find anything on these demons. How can we fight this thing if it doesn't even exist in these volumes?" she asked herself, running her fingers through her red hair. Think Willow, think, she thought to herself. She'd heard Kroshall before, but she didn't know where. Not even three months ago, she could have called Giles and cross referenced with him.
She stood up and stretched her legs. "This is pointless," she moaned. She needed to take a walk and clear her head a little. Maybe something would come to her about the demons if she relaxed a little. She put her jacket on, and locked the door behind her, heading on to the street.
It was cold outside. The air was frosty. It was one of those freezing nights where you could see your own breath like steam. Willow rapped her pink scarf around her neck, and did the buttons on her jacket up. In all the fuss, it hadn't yet occurred to her that she'd never been to New York before. She thought she'd take this opportunity to have a look around. It wasn't actually that different to most of the other cities she'd traveled to, except the sky scrapers looked a little taller. The people though were a different story. Sure, Willow wasn't exactly in a good area, but she was actually worried for her safety with some of the looks she was getting "“ and she'd lived on a hell mouth! She just had to keep in mind the fact that if anyone tried to hurt her, they were toast.
Making her way down the street, it seemed to be getting darker and darker, so she headed down a side road which seemed to be full of people. There was no need in having to fight if she didn't have to after all.
This city wasn't so bad. It was full of people, bright lights and fun. Kennedy had described it to her as exactly that. Willow was missing Kennedy, it'd been days since she'd seen her, and normally they didn't separate for even one day. She would have come with Willow, but her Slayer duties were a big part of her life now, and she had to stay home and protect the town.
Willow could see someone ahead, a boy, well a man but a young one. She felt a strong connection with him, like they were involved somehow. She felt attracted to him, spiritually, like they were linked. It wasn't a romantic or sexual attraction to him because not only was she lesbian, but he wouldn't be her type if she wasn't. She normally would have gone for fairer guys like Oz, but this guy was Mediterranean looking, he had olive skin and dark hair.
As she neared the man, their bond grew stronger. She now felt as if she knew the man personally. His name was Nick. She could see that he was going through the same feelings she was because of the looks he kept giving her, it was as if he couldn't take his eyes off her.
As they got within five feet apart, Willow had a brain flash, or a vision you could say. She saw herself doing the slayer spell in Sunnydale, and then saw Buffy holding the scythe, dusting uber vamps in the hell mouth. She knew about all of this though, she'd been there when it had all happened.
Suddenly, the piece of information she was missing came to mind. She saw Nick, waking up in a sweat after a big night, groaning, as if something bad was happening to him. Then she realised, what was happening o him wasn't bad, and she knew why she'd felt connected to him. She then saw him in an alley, it felt close by. He was scared; she could feel his heart racing. There were two men: vampires, attacking him. She then saw a flash of him staking them both.
She knew what had happened. She felt a connection to him because she'd done the spell that awoke his power. Although it went against all the rules she'd ever known about the subject, Nick, a man, was a slayer.

oooh i knew it! eunsoma i like the idea of male slayers! i'd be interested to know what the theory behind the sudden change in the rules are..?

I think there is more to this then the obvious...and I can't wait to see which way this explanation is going to go. There are so many 'options'! But I like the idea of Dawn and Connor hooking-up. Or are you creating a love triangle of 3 people not of normal birth here? See so many options.

cool guys im glad that you all liked it. I wasn't so sure how that one was gonna go... but I guess it worked. I will hopefully be able to answer all of your questions thru the fic.. more soon

Here's more for you guys, sorry it's been so long I've had too much to do, I hope I haven't lost my touch!

As Buffy and Dawn stepped off the bus they looked around the area. It wasn't nice at all. Dawn had been directed to this church by the last three priests they'd visited. This church was supposed to be different to the others, the beliefs held by the priest were supposed to expand further than the other Catholics they'd visited. As they came to the entrance, Dawn told Buffy she would do the talking.
"Don't start waving fists unless you have to Buffy." she said.
Buffy groaned at the comment, "Oh my god Dawn it's not like I am some violent head case, I know how to be smooth too you know."
Dawn just giggled a little and rolled her eyes. "Yeah, sure you do."
She reached out for the handle on the door. The door was stiff, like it hadn't been opened for a very long time. It took a fair effort for it to budge open and dust fell from the ceiling as it opened.
The sisters walked in to the dark church. There was only one candle lit, at the altar. Buffy looked at her sister and almost signaled her to go. Dawn looked back at Buffy, a little hesitantly.
"C'mon Dawn," began Buffy, "go, this is your deal."
Dawn started walking towards the altar slowly, and Buffy followed close behind. Buffy peered down every row of seats, checking for anyone, or anything. The church seemed to be empty, but the slayer couldn't be too careful with what she'd seen in the past.
When the sisters reached the altar, the doors they entered through flew open, and in between them stood a figure. It was dark, and Dawn couldn't see too well, but she could make out the figure was a demon. It was well built, probably six and a half feet tall, and it had red leathery skin. It was wearing a long black robe. This was all the detail Dawn could get from the distance she was standing. The demon chuckled and in less then a second, he'd disappeared. The doors slammed shut, and the candle had gone out. It was completely dark now, but the sisters could hear a shuffling noise.
"Buffy!" yelled Dawn, "it's in here! I can hear it!"
"Shut up!" yelled Buffy, she was listening for the demon's whereabouts, but she couldn't pick up anything.
"Listen," began Buffy, "we don't want to hurt you, we just want your help, and then we'll be on our way."
Suddenly, there was a loud crashing noise. All the candles in the church lit, and Buffy and Dawn could see the demon, who seemed to trapped under a fallen chandelier.
Dawn laughed a little, "Are you okay?" she asked. She thought it was kind of ironic for a big scary demon to end up in an accident like that.
Buffy looked at her sister and they both chuckled.
"That wasn't to stealthy." said Buffy, sarcastically.
The demon looked at the sisters. "Are you girls just gonna stand there and joke, or are you gonna help me get out of this?"
"Right." said Buffy, as she walked over. She lifted the chandelier with ease, which seemed to surprise the demon.
"Wasn't that heavy?" he asked, brushing off his backside as he stood up.
"I'm the slayer," she said, "well not the as in the only one but I once was, there's heaps of us now but I'm like the leader." she added.
Dawn just looked at Buffy, who'd been rambling, and she sighed.
Buffy went a little quiet.
"What about you?" asked the demon, looking at Dawn, "are you a slayer too? You don't smell like a normal human at all."
Dawn shrugged, "I'm not really"¦ normal. Anyway how about I ask the questions, what kind of demon are you?"
The demon chuckled a little, "I'm not a demon. Well right now I am, but it's complicated, I'm a shape shifter "“ a warlock." As he said this, the demon morphed into a Caucasian man. He was good looking. He had short brown hair and a goatee and he was quite fit.
Buffy and Dawn just stared.
Buffy reached out to touch him, making sure he was corporeal. "Just checking," she said with a smile, "I have issues." She was actually checking that this creature wasn't The First Evil, or something similar "“ it was better to be safe then sorry.
"It's okay," said Dawn, "he's not evil, I can feel it."
"You can feel it?" asked the man.
"Yeah, remember how I told you I wasn't exactly normal, well I have superpowers."
"So what are you guys like superheroes then?" asked the man, "I mean one of you has superpowers and the other one is a slayer."
Buffy and Dawn laughed. "Nah," began Buffy, then thought for a second, "well kinda, we sorta' just help people. That's why we're here actually, there's this girl whose possessed by a Kroshall demon, you heard of "˜em?"
The man backed away a little, "yeah I've heard of "˜em."
"What is it?" asked Dawn. She could see pain in the man"ial expression.
"Nothing," he said, "these demons though, they aren't easy to exorcise from someone. That's what you want to do right?"
Dawn nodded, "Yeah, but when you say not easy, how hard exactly?" she asked.
"The last time someone tried to exorcise a Kroshall, everybody died." he stated bluntly.
"Oh," began Buffy, "that hard."

Ok, I am really not sure about the reaction I'm going to get from this part. Although it's mainly dialogue - that can sometimes be the hardest part!

Still on the street, Willow edged forward towards Nick. "I need to talk to you." she said.
Nick felt as if he needed to talk to this woman too, but he didn't really understand why. He knew that there was definitely a connection between them though. Nick followed Willow to a nearby bench, where they sat.
They stared at each other. Neither of them was quite sure what to say. Willow didn't want to spill too much, because she didn't want to scare Nick away, but she knew that if she tried to lie, he'd know.
Nick had so much to ask, but he didn't want to scare Willow away either, he wanted to know everything about what was happening to him.
Willow started, "I'm Willow," she said with a comforting smile, "You're Nick right?"
"Yeah," he replied, "How did you know?" His face held a curious expression.
"I'm not sure, I've never met you before, but I know who you are. I know it's weird but I feel like I know about you." she told him.
He looked to the floor. "You wanna know what's weird?" he asked her.
"What?" she asked.
"I feel the exact same with you, like I know you somehow. I feel connected to you." He stared into her eyes as he said this, and Willow knew it was time to start explaining, it wasn't fair that she kept this from him.
"I also know that you know about vampires." she stated.
Nick gave her a weird look; but she could tell he was in denial. He didn't want to believe that vampires were actually real. It opened too many doors which he couldn't get his head around. But he knew that the denial had to stop. If he wanted any chance at his life getting back on track he needed to tell Willow, she may have been the only person who could help him.
After a brief pause, he replied. "Yes. I know about vampires. He paused again and thought for a second. "How do you know about them? You're not a vampire are you?" he asked.
Willow chuckled a little. "I grew up on a hell-mouth, I know about pretty much every evil thing in this world. And I'm not a vampire, I'm a witch."
"Wow." said Nick; it was hard for him to be taking this all in, not only vampires, but now witches too.
"So do you have magic powers and stuff? I mean could you make me float or something?" he asked, inquisitively.
Willow giggled softly, "You know I probably could, but not here. Can you just imagine what those guys would do if you just started floating." she said, pointing to a group of stuffy looking people sitting inside a café.
Nick looked over and laughed.
"So do you fight vampires too?" he asked, trying to break the ice a little.
Asking somebody he'd just met if they fought vampires seemed so strange, but what was even stranger was the fact that he didn't care so much.
Willow stood up, "Maybe we should take a walk. It's getting a little crowded here."
Nick followed her and they walked across to the quieter side of the road.
"Well do you?" he asked.
"Do I what?" she asked back.
"Fight vampires?" he replied.
"Me? No, well a little, but not with fists and stuff like you."
"˜With magic?" asked Nick.
"Yeah, there's a few really effective spells when it comes to slaying vampires. I can actually create a ball of sunlight, and you know vamps, the sun comes up and they go poof."
Nick laughed a little, "Wow. That sounds cool. You'll have to show me sometime."
"Maybe sooner then you think." replied Willow. She pointed up ahead; there was a couple walking into an alley. The male was a vampire, Willow could sense it "“ a plus of being such an advanced witch.
"What is it?" asked Nick.
"Vampire," she stated, "let's go."
Willow and Nick rushed to the alley, and it looked like they were just in time. The vampire had the woman up against the wall, with his hand muffling her screams, about to bite her.
"Hey!" yelled Willow, "get off her!"
The vamp looked up. "Beat it!" he yelled, as he bit into the girl's neck.
Nick ran from behind Willow and charged at the vampire. He connected with a swift fly kick to the vamps torso. The woman was free, and went running out of the alley passed Willow. "Run!" she yelled to Willow as she sprinted passed her. Willow just rolled her eyes.
The vamp had just lost his meal, and that made him mad.
"Don't go far!" he yelled, but the girl was already out of Willow's sight.
Nick pummeled the vampire to the floor, and the two began to struggle with each other. Willow ran over. The vampire had Nick pinned to the floor, but he quickly kicked him off. Slamming into the brick wall, the vampire screamed.
"Got a stake?" he asked Willow, hectically.
"Don't need one!" she replied. "Incinere!" she yelled. A ball of fire developed in her hand and she directed it in the direction of the vampire. In a flash, the vampire was on fire, screaming in pain. He then dusted.
"You ok?" asked Willow, putting out her hand to help Nick up.
He didn't take it; instead he just stared at her. "I'm fine. But I want to know how the hell that is exactly. I know you know, and I was gonna be polite about it, but now I officially don't care." Nick paused and ran his hands through his hair. "What the hell is wrong with me?!"
Willow stared, and tried to be empathic, but she couldn't really find a problem in the situation. Nick was probably the strongest human male alive, where is the problem in that? He didn't have to take his calling, there were enough Slayers now. The new ones didn't need to take on the calling if they didn't want to, there was a choice.
"Nick," Willow said with a pause, "You're a vampire slayer."
"A vampire slayer?" he asked, sarcastically, "well that answers all my questions, I'm a vampire slayer everyone." he shouted out sarcastically, waving his arms around. The alley they were in was disserted, so nobody saw.
"Look Nick," said Willow in an agitated voice, "If you want answers, let me speak, if you want to be a moron about this I'm going home because I actually have work to do right now." She stood with her hands on her hips, waiting for a response.
Nick could see she was serious, and as much as he wanted to tell Willow exactly where to stick it right now, he needed answers.
"Ok," he began, "I guess I'll co-operate."
Willow nodded her head. "As I was saying you're a vampire slayer. There was one, born into every generation. She would fight the vampires, demons and every other form of evil. So you can guess that one slayer fighting all the evil in the world wouldn't live that long. When one died another one was called, ever since the beginning of humanity - up until the year before last that is."
Willow paused. Nick had a blank look on his face. "You following?" she asked.
Nick nodded, "Yeah."
Willow continued, "Anyway, I mentioned the hell mouth before, Sunnydale. It's down south of here, or it was I should say. I grew up there, and when I was a junior in high school, the Slayer moved to town, her name's Buffy."
Nick cut in for a minute, "Is she still alive?" he asked a little hesitantly.
"Yeah," began Willow, and then thought for a second, "Well she is now, but she's died twice."
Nick just nodded. All of this was a lot for him to take in.
"Where exactly do I come into this?" he asked.
"I'm just about there." stated Willow. "So Buffy and a group of us in Sunnydale fought evil over the years, until the year before last, we finally closed the hellmouth. That's where all the slayers came into it. We couldn't do it on our own. You see all around the world there were thousands of girls with the potential to become the next slayer if the current one died. I was able to channel the essence of the Slayer into every single potential slayer in the world "“ which means that around the world there's thousands."
Nick cut in again. "Hey wait, you talk like the Slayer is supposed to be a girl right?" he asked.
"It should be." said Willow. "Ever since the first slayer, there's never been a male slayer. In every piece of literature about the slayer, you'll find it refers to a girl. Nick you are the first ever male slayer."
Nick laughed a little in disbelief, "Why me?" he asked.

I liked the reaction of Nick you did that very well, i am looking forward to reading how you are going to develop this.

Thanks a lot! I'm glad that the reaction i got was good! More soon
Keep going!!! Using a vamp killing to get the story across to Nick from Willow was a good idea especially seeing as how Nick realizes he's the first male slayer. Good idea to keep the flow of the same story(turning all the potentials into slayers) interesting for the reader, very creative.

Angel wasn't having the best of luck. Most of Anna's belongings seemed to be run of the mill normal. There were a few things that one could use to cloak something about themselves, which the Kroshal demon had obviously been using to make sure that no one could see through the possession it had on Anna.
Just when Angel was about to leave, he noticed something that he should've noticed right from the start. Under Anna's desk, there was a safe. With a quick jab, he broke the lock. He didn't really know what to expect to find, but he knew that they needed a lucky break soon. Inside, he found a few of Anna's more expensive items, but nothing weird.
"Aha!" he yelled, "I think I've just found our first lucky break." He stopped, and realized he'd just said this allowed, but there was no one to hear him.
He took out what looked like a voodoo spell. There was a photo of Anna's face stuck to the body of a doll, with red feathers and what looked like a piece of black quartz. It was all being held together in a twisted black wire. Angel knew this had to be significant. He put it in his jacket pocket, and climbed out through the window, ready to head back.

"What are we going to need to do an exorcism?" Dawn asked the man.
He gave her a strange look, as if he didn't believe the words coming from her mouth.
"You mean you are still going to attempt to exorcise the Kroshal?" he asked her. "I thought I made it pretty clear that that wasn't a good idea."
Dawn stared at the man. "Look I know that this is going to be hard, but in this business, the business of heroes, you don't just give up on people."
The man looked to Buffy, expecting her to step in on his behalf and talk some sense into Dawn, but she stood by her sister silently. She just watched Dawn. She had become very capable, and Buffy could see it.
Buffy finally spoke, "She's right. What are we gonna need and where can we get it?"
The man folded his arms and took a deep breathe. "I can get you everything you need," he began, "but then that's it, I'm out of this"¦ I'm not really made of what heroes are made of."
Dawn gave a sympathetic look. "Thanks." she said. She smiled, trying to cheer him up.
He gave a smile back, but Dawn could tell it wasn't very sincere. She could feel a lot of emotional pain coming from the man, but she wasn't quite sure why.
Buffy was getting a little restless. "So when can you get the stuff for us?" she asked, trying to hurry things along a little.
The man looked up to her. "Most of the items you need I have here, but there are a few ingredients you'll have to pick up yourselves, they shouldn't be hard to find."
He began walking to the front of the church, and went through a door on the left of the entrance. After a few minutes, he came back out, with a bag.
"I'm going to show you exactly what these things are." he said, opening the bag. First, he revealed a silver crucifix, and placed it on the bench in front of him.
"That's a little cliché." said Buffy sarcastically. "I got plenty of those at home".
The man looked to her and smiled, "A little more than meets the eye actually. This crucifix has been blessed by every priest who has ever performed an exorcism. It will prove to be much more effective than your basic crucifix."
Buffy had just embarrassed herself. "Oh"¦ go on." she said, blushing a little.
The man nodded, and took out another item. It was a red, sandy looking sediment in a decorated glass bottle.
"This is the arena de protección," he stated, tipping some into his hand. "It's a blessed compound. You will need to surround the possessed person in a circle of it. It will stop the demon from leaving the circle while you perform the exorcism." The man paused. "You will need to be very careful not to destroy the circle, because the demon will be able to get free, and I can tell you now that once you start the possession, it will become very vicious."
Dawn nodded her head. "Ok sure, so basically we just don't break the circle, and the demon can't harm us right?" she asked.
The man laughed a little. "Miss, if it was that simple I would help you perform it. When the Kroshal gets angry there is no telling what may happen. You will have to be very alert and cautious."
Dawn sighed, "Okay, so what else you got in the bag?" she asked.
He took out one final item. It was a necklace, with a yellow jewel embedded in it. "You will have to wear this," he said, talking to Dawn.
"Me?" she asked, a little puzzled.
"Yes. Once the Kroshal is rid of its current body, it will try to jump into the most powerful person." he stated.
Buffy cut in, "So what about the rest of us?" she asked, "Don't we get a protection necklace too?"
The man shook his head. "You won't need one, after trying to jump into Dawn, and being unsuccessful, the demon should disintegrate."
A smile came to Buffy's face. "Oh, good." she said.
"I assume one of you is a witch?" he asked.
"No," stated Buffy, "Not either of us, but we have one lined up."
"Good," stated the man, "They will need to perform the ritual."
Dawn smiled at the man sincerely, "Thanks a lot." She put the bag over her shoulder.
"Yeah, thanks." said Buffy, "We'll let you know how it goes."
The man just smiled. "Don't forget this," he said, picking up a book he'd also brought from the room. "This holds the ritual, make sure your witch knows what she's doing, and that she reads the ritual thoroughly, remember ladies, there is no room for mistakes in this."
"Don't worry" said Dawn, "We'll be fine. Thanks again."
"Wait" said Buffy, "ver caught your name."
"Charlie." he replied, "My names Charlie."
"Nice name" said Buffy, she smiled.
The sisters made there way out the door, and began walking to the bus stop. When he could see they were out of sight, Charlie took a cell phone from his pocket and dialed the last dialed number.
"It's Charlie," he stated, "They've just left, it shouldn't be long now."

Now it is beggining to get very interesting! keep writting i love the bit where Angel finds the "doll".

thanks lol, i thought it was funny because he tries to be so stealthy, but sometimes he suprises us with a few quirks
I do believe we are about to get a real good 'problem'. Never trust a priest named Charlie I guess, lol.
The Angel speaking out loud was interesting...wonder if it means something?

sorry to burst your bubble lol, but the Angel speaking aloud was comical only lol... but u r right about the rest : ) thanks for the comments
Back at the hotel, Willow was getting ready to perform the spell. She did a focus routine, to keep her magical energy levels steady. Although she hadn't been evil for a very long time, and her spells were always safe nowadays, she thought she'd better be safe then sorry.
Nick sat in front of her, watching her. He didn't know if Willow was actually glowing, or if his mind was just playing tricks on him. Everything felt like a busy dream, and he felt he was ready to wake up, but no matter what he did he couldn't. Nick looked out the window, he watched the people walking by. None of them knew about what he did. No one knew about vampires and demons and other monsters. He came to the conclusion that they were the lucky ones.
A few seconds later there was a knock on the door. Nick opened it, a tall man stood in front of him, his forehead was rather large and he had quite pale skin. It was Angel.
He looked at Nick and raised an eyebrow. "What are you doing here?" he asked.
"Willow!" called Nick, disregarding Angel's question. He walked away from the door and sat back down in front of the television.
He heard Willow and Angel whispering at the door, it didn't much bother him what they were saying "“ he didn't think it was his business anyway. A few seconds later, Angel came into the room and sat next to him. They exchanged a few manly stares, and then Nick spoke.
"So are you a Slayer too?" he asked.
"No." answered Angel.
He was looking at the voodoo doll he'd stolen from Anna's office. It felt hot in his hands, not hot enough to burn him "“ but the fact that it was hot meant energy was radiating from it.
Nick leant forward, almost getting in Angel's face.
"So what are you then? Are you a witch as well?" he asked.
"No," replied Angel, "not a witch."
He didn't take much notice of Nick.
"I just thought that with the voodoo doll and all you might be." He stated, a little cautiously. He noticed Angel wasn't very friendly.
Angel felt a little bad. He'd treated this boy a little badly.
"I'm Angel," he said. "I'm a vampire."
Nick was shocked. He stood up and backed away a little.
Angel smirked.
Willow walked in. "Don't worry Nick, he has a soul. He's harmless." She smiled.
"I was getting to that," mumbled Angel"¦ "And I'm not harmless," he complained, "I just choose to be."
Nick chuckled. "Oh, that's okay then. For a second there I was worried."
"About what?" asked Angel. "Willow tells me you're a slayer, how is that?"
Nick nodded. "I don't know," he stated, "Good I guess.
Angel smiled. "I meant how is it possible that you're a Slayer?"
"Oh," said Nick, he was a little embarrassed, "I don't know, Willow and I were gonna try finding out sometime."
