Is it just a co-incidence that the BIG BAD is called Twilight? Isn't that the name of a recently-released and not so cleverly disguised rip off of Buffy movie?

From what I understand from reviews and word on the street is that this movie is the BIG BAD of all time. (unless you are 12 years old, in high school, have never heard of or seen Buffy or all of the above)

However...I know with me, I didn't hear talk of the Twilight phenomena until well after I heard about Season 8, so the question becomes was Whedon aware of it, or was it just another case of simultaneous invention.

Same with me, i just went on forums after reading No Future for You(i think) and saw loads of threads titled "Twilight" or something similar and thought "Awesome! There's Buffy fans on this site =D". Imagine my disappointment when i found out they were just about some crappy book D=

Supposedly the author started to write these books in 2003. Apparently she wasn't the least worried about any possible comparisons. (read between the lines - plagarism)

Imitation is the highest form of flattery. Rip-offs, not so much.

Or just maybe Twilight is more than one person - It's the three withches from Charmed and Buffy gets to kick their collective butts. HAHA.

I KNOW WHO TWILIGHT IS. It all seems so clear now!

It's obviously the guy Buffy untied from that tree in the cemetery in Once More, With Feeling. She saves him, he offers to repay her, she rejects him, he gets pissed off, and, in his rage, gets a magic suit that gives him superpowers and plots to kill of Buffy and all her little Slayer pals.

If its going to be from Angel, then I think it could possibly be Angelus. I was quite sure it was Giles, but not so sure now.
