Just... dead wrong. I mean, wait till he gets to S5.

Dude, how can you not know Buffy's sister? Don't you remember that episode Angelus tried to kill her?
One thing I liked about season 4 compared to the first three is that Buffy's sister was only in two episodes. In the first three seasons, she was a pretty redundant character and Michelle Trachtenberg isn't a solid actress like Kristine Sutherland is. Take "Gingerbread," for instance. Both actresses were there to show Buffy's family turning on her. Sutherland's performance was nuanced and creepy, whereas the most positive thing one can say about Trachtenberg in that episode is that she crammed more syllables into "witch" than anyone else. There's no episode yet where Trachtenberg contributed anything that Joyce wasn't already bringing to the table, and I really hope that her appearance in this episode doesn't mean that she'll be dragging down Season 5 like she single-handedly brought down Season 3 (which would be damn near a perfect season without her character)
-Plus, her scene in Bewitched, Bothered and Bewildered was seriously tasteless on the writers' part.
Buffy's sister has been in the show since the first episode. Remember ?
Spike, in a nutshell.

Spike was apparently unaware that Angel had a soul in School Hard, which makes this scene here hilarious. Spike has no idea what he's doing this for, he's just having a great time.
I never actually thought about this, and now I can't stop laughing. "We have to go slaughter an entire camp of gypsies." "Okay."
I do think Spike's unrequited love is written more sympathetically than Xander's in the early seasons.
Into the Woods review was a joy to read! So much insight from everybody. I really enjoyed it. It does hurt how everybody hates Riley. I understand why they feel this way, but I never realized how much I love Riley until I read this episode's review. I cringed and tossed my laptop aside so many times because I couldn't handle the Riley hate.
