Any time an actor hires out for something like "Breakfast With Nicholas Brandon," where he entertains a bunch of people still in their jammies and robes eating their way through a breakfast bar, he's either desperate for work or really loves stale toast and watery eggs.

And, yes, I agree, a Fray movie would be great, but unless they went with an animated movie (which they could also do with either "Buffy" or that spin off, whatever they called it, and the age thing wouldn't be a factor) I'm afraid that the budget would be too high. Joss' success with movies based on his characters hasn't been really stellar. On the other hand, a "Fray" movie would fit right in there with what I was saying initially. It could bring in a totally new cast, without enraging the base fan base.

And as far as that other vampire is concerned, I'm with you completely on that. I'm ignoring him too.
 
ANGEL!! Right, that's his name. I don't know why I keep forgetting that. He used to be in a detective show with 2 other guys. They worked for this disembodied voice named Charlie.

I never could figure out how he could have been turned into a vampire. Maybe Charlie turned him,

I was thinking about this, and the thing is that if the Avengers goes right, he might actually have the opportunity to do something with the Buffyverse with proper funding. It's just that by the time that happens, it'll simply be too late to do a movie with the original actors playing the original characters. Like I said, it's too bad because a well-done movie could be a boon to SMG's career.
 
OMG just read on a site that there's some rumor going around kristen Stewart is going to be the lead in the new Buffy movie. I don't know if it's true but to be honest I pray it is not. No offense but i really don't like her that much as an actress. I don't know to me she, and the dude they got playing Edward ruined the Twilight movies. I was a fan of the books but hate the movies, and it's cause to me Kristen stewart is a really boring actress, so i really hope she isn't stared in this new Buffy reboot, or it will 100% flop in my opinion!

what do you guys think, Kristen a good choice or no?

Hell NO!!!! As much as I love Buffy, I probably would not even see the movie if she was in it. It's not just because of Twilight, but like you said. I don't like her as an actress. She's boring, annoys me, and bites her lip all...the...time in every scene she's in!

Since I only picture Buffy as Sarah no. But I can say I think whoever replaces or whatever they decide to do will be hard shoes to fill.

I actually hate the books but enjoy the movies. I don't think Kristen would suck it is just it would be a mistake on her part. People are going to bash her just for the twilight and then it is another vampire movie. I think she acts well I like a lot of her films I just don't think she is right for this movie, not that anyone will be in my eyes I guess.

I actually think all the actors are cheesy in twilight lol. That is probably what they are supposed to be I don't think they really make them act. If I had not been a fan of Kristen before I wouldn't have loved her as much as I do.

I like Kristen, too. Most of the actors in the Twilight aren't bad actors at all, I just don't think they put in much of an effort. Like they know that the Twilight movies will do well at the box office whether they're amazingly acted or not.

I wouldn't mind a Buffyverse reboot, but I wouldn't actually want it to be about Buffy or any of the characters in the shows. I'd like a new cast (or something like Fray, which has been mentioned), but still set in the same world.
 
First I thought everyone was talking about Kristen Bell and I was really excited, lol. No, I don't think Kristen Stewart could pull it off. Plus, I'm sure there would be huge wars between the fandoms

Exactly that was my assumption. I even went and saw some other Rob movies to see if he could act and he did good in Remember me. I had already been a fan of Kristen and saw her movies so I already knew she could act. Back to topic though 😛

I don't know fray but it would be good to just do something kind of new IMO. First off calling it Buffy makes me think of Sarah and James all of the actors. When they aren't there it will feel a little out of place. I wouldn't mind seeing a movie with the old actors if it was done well. I just don't think they could get them all except Nick like someone else said earlier.
 
As crappy as it sounds I would probably still be interested in watching the movie. I like the 1992 movie in a much MUCH different way than the show. My only qualm with the movie is the fact that it could have been much smarter. Making a carbon copy remake would definitely be a mistake...BUT if they made it smarter I can see it being quite entertaining.
 
About casting Kristen as Buffy, I think she was the image Joss wanted as Buffy: the cheerleader type, tall, hot, modely... Not saying Kristen was all that, though I think that's what Joss was aiming for when casting the original Buffy. That's how I've always seen it. IMO SMG wasn't all that. Yeah, Sarah is hot, cute, maybe cheerleadery (not tall), but I don't see much connection between Kristen's Buffy and Sarah's Buffy. As Buffy, they seem like totally different characters.
