I had a very very Marvel weekend! 😀 Watched Iron Man on Friday, Iron Man 2 on Saturday then went and saw Avengers for the 3rd time, then watched Thor and Iron Man 2 on Sunday with my mom and dad. Twas awesome....anyway....

Iron Man - 10/10 Love that movie. RDJ is absolutely perfect as Tony Stark. Very well done movie all around.

Iron Man 2 - 9/10 Still love it, though not quite as much as Iron Man 2. Didn't seem to be quite as well done, but it was still good.

Thor - 10/10

Avengers - 2504584689145/10 I've officially assembled 3 times now for this movie, and I still absolutely LOVE it. It doesn't get old, or boring, or anything of the sort. Still amazing.

does NOT use the word 'obsessed' but coughs something that sounds a lot like it.... ;) ;P
"Battleship"- 9/10 (I found it interesting that Kitch had the same hair and stubble beard at the beginning of this movie as he did in the title role in "John Carter.") This is a fun action adventure about the earth being invaded by totally unfriendly E T's who make the fatal error of trying to mess with a bunch of crusty old Navy veterans and the legendary "U S S Missouri," the battleship referred to in the title. The only thing that kept this movie from getting the whole 10/10 for me is that I am also one of those crusty old Navy veterans, though not THAT old yet, and the technical mistakes made, though certainly adding to the excitement and action, made me literally cringe at times. Most noteworthy of which being that a battleship that has been literally no more than a tourist attraction for decades would be not only capable of getting underway with only a few hours' preparation, but that all of her systems would be fully functional, including fuel and ammunition for their obsolete 16" guns, But, what the hell, it just goes to show that it's never a good idea to mess with the "Mighty Mo" and a bunch of enraged sailors.

"Battleship", 9/10. And strangely for similar reasons as white avenger, though I'm not a navy myself. It was that I could see a floating museum being that armed up and ready to go so quick. But it was a great film that had plenty of action. It is a film that I would buy on DVD, but wait til it goes down to the £5-7 mark.

Men In Black III - 8/10
Nice! It was really great. Of course, it isn't as good as the first one, because, seriously, what could possibly surpass Edgar?
Anyway, it was awesome. It deals a lot with the relationship between K and J.
The ending was also fantastic. It gave me a completely new view on their partnership.
MIB3 is really recommendable if you enjoyed the first movie!

Back To The Future: One of the most fun fantasy films ever made. Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Crispin Glover, and Lea Thompson make the movie perfect. It's also fun to rock out to Johnny B. Goode with Marty. 🙂 10/10

Beauty And The Beast: I'm sure you all know this, but this is my favorite film of all time. It's the best film ever made, if you ask me. 🙂 Infinity/10

Good one! Especially the first three.

Dark Shadows - 7/10. A good movie, funny and well written. Not a big fan of Burton but I think he did a good job on this one. Depp was great as he usually is. He seemed to really enjoy playing his role and that just made it so much better.

Have you watched the other two movies? I love them! Really recommendable!
The Grey: 8/10

I found it very gripping throughout, especially at the end. I'm glad the ending was open ended. It was bleak, yet hopeful. And Liam Neeson is excellent as usual.

Tim Burton's "Alice In Wonderland"- 6/10 I watched this because my girls wanted to watch it. I ended up not entirely hating it, and I did think the effects and things were done pretty well, but the plot was really weird to me, and I felt it was a very strange "homage" to the original Disney version, which I absolutely love. And Johnny Depp gave me nightmares.

Monday we saw 'American Pie Reunion' 10/10, one of the best comedies this year!

Thursday (tonight) we saw 'Cabin in the Woods' 10/10, a well made horror, made how they should be made!

Next Monday we get to see 'Avengers' at long last.

Iron Man - 8/10
Iron Man 2 - 7/10
Robert Downey Jr. is great. Tony Stark is so ridiculously arrogant, it's hilarious! Cool movies.
I'm looking forward to Iron Man 3.

Batman: Year One - 8/10
Awesome! I wish they made a sequel. I guess that would be the comic "The Man Who Laughs" with The Joker.
And it's so cool that Eliza Dushku is Selina Kyle. I think she should have played Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises!

Chronicle - OH MY GOD! I really really really liked this movie!!!! It's one of those movies that stays with you...sorta swimming around inside my head.

Prometheus - 6/10

Not as good as the original Alien movies ofc, but still decent. Could have been worse, could have been better. I don't like Noomi Rapace at all, but she was alright in this one. Watched it in 3D, and I can recommend that. I haven't watched 3D in a long time, and last time I did, my head ached and it wasn't good at all. The technology has improved significantly since then though, and I'd really recommend seeing it in that format.

Miller's Crossing - 8/10
Not at all what I expected (I didn't really give much thought to what it was about before I watched it), but very good.
I love Gabriel Byrne's Irish accent and the Irish accent in general!

Troll Hunter - 8/10

Good movie, funny and entertaining, the only let down is the English dubbing, quite a bit does not coresspond with the origianal Norwegian.

Jurassic Park - 10000/10
Well, what can I say... it's awesome and it will always be.

Prometheus

well, it was a little disappointing. I thought it was visually amazing, the 3D made it look good, and I also liked idea of the story but I didn't think it was executed well. The whole movie was just one buildup after another for things that ended with an anti-klimax which made it difficult for me to really become engaged with it.
I like Michael Fassbender, he's always great, I liked the music too and parts of the dialogue but I hated that Guy Pearce played the old man, what was the point of that?! the makeup looked lawful, why not just get an old actor to play the old man?
whatever, overall I still enjoyed it somewhat. 3,5/5.

Casino

I haven't seen this in years, one thing that I don't like about it is the music, when the songs start playing it's just weird, it doesn't fit in, idk why. But whenever Joe Pesci is on screen this movie wins.
4/5.

Total Recall. I hadn't seen it in years. It was fun, and I like how the ending was happy - and yet slightly ambiguous. Now I think I want to read the book.
