Cabin in the Woods: 9/10. Might be my favorite horror movie ever. It was scary, ya, but just so funny at the same time. Really good movie.

Blue Streak: 9/10: I hadn't seen this in years but man, I'm glad I dug it off the shelf. Pure comedic gold. Is there a higher level than gold? Dave Chappelle in this movie is just priceless.

High Art- 6/10 It was alright, but definitely not what I was expecting. It was slow and boring to me in parts. I also felt the chemistry between the two leads felt forced.
 
Lost in Translation - 10/10 I have been waiting to see this...for about two years maybe. It wasn't on Netflix for the longest and it never comes on t.v. however it's on Netflix now! I watched it when I really needed to and yeah, amazing. Loved it.

Drive - 8/10 I love violence, okay? However it was just a tad bit gratuitous. I really enjoyed the movie as a whole. Sure, there were plot holes but whatever, it didn't take away from the experience...and the music was perfect.

Snow White and The Huntsman 9/10
Overall, I loved it. It was beautiful and dark and the special effects were freaking awesome. Charlize Theron was perfect as the evil queen. I thought they really took a classic fairytale and hardened it, made it more believable. I like how they made Snow White such a bad ass. And I'm sorry, but I like Kristen Stewart. I think she's beautiful and strong and made Snow a warrior.

The only thing I wasn't convinced of was her chemistry with The Huntsman. They really needed to give more...it was almost there but they never totally connected. I'm a sucker for romance! 😉
 
I just saw Lost in Translation as well, for the first time, and it's amazing. I'm not surprised though, I usually enjoy Sofia Coppola's movies, they have a peculiar atmosphere which is quite fascinating. Just a bit disappointed the ambiguity wasn't kept by the end of the film 9/10
 
Men in Black 3 - 4/10
I had low expectations for it, so luckily I wasn't disappointed. Wasn't something I was terribly interested in seeing, but my friend really wanted to see it, so off we went. It had a couple of funny moments, but that was about it. Weak plot that introduced too many plotholes. Weak script that was uninspired and fell quite flat. Men in Black 2 managed to be better than 3, something that I didn't think could happen.
 
Party Monster: 8/10

So, I figured I'd watch this movie, considering it's the only Seth Green film I haven't seen, and to be honest, I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was hilarious at parts, and at the same time it had its deep moments, made all the more powerful because it's based on a true story. Macaulay Culkin did a convincing job as well. Now after seeing Seth in drag, I can never look at Oz in the same way. Ever. Again. 😛
 
The hangover - saw this for the first time this weekend. Yes I am a late bloomer 😀 A lot of people had hyped it, didn't think it lived up to my expactations. Lot of sexism and hondstly not that funny. I give it 5/10 and are hoping bridesmaids are better. 😀

Blitz - 6/10 it was ok, but not that memorable really, funny in places though
 
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - 10/10

Amazing movie. It's kind of sad that they made a fourth movie, because the ending of this movie would have been the best conclusion for the trilogy.
Indy, Indy's Dad, Sallah and Marcus riding towards the sunset. Beautiful. I almost tear up during this scene.
 
Last week I bought two DVD's, The Uninvited and Solstice.
The Uninvited.
It is the American version of a Korean film. Whilst the film was made okay and the plot is fair to good. The directors made it badly, the ending was very poor.
I give it a 2 out of 10 purely because of the performances of the lead actors, who are:
Arielle Kebbel, you may know her as Lexi of The Vampire Diaries, or Victoria from the film Vampires Suck.
and
Emily Browning who starred in the film Sucker Punch.
The other DVD I bought was a $10 cheapie. The only reason I bought it was that it was that it was done by the director of The Blair Witch Project, a film that got a 0 out of 10 from me as it was so badly made.
I wanted to see if this film was any better.

Solstice.
I was very surprised, because it is an enjoyable film. Also one of the cast was Amanda Seyfried, star of the film Red Riding Hood. Not that her performance was good, it wasn't, if she was any good as an actor the film would get a 10 out of 10. As it is I will give that film a rating of 9 out of 10.
 
snow whte and the huntsman 8/10 I really enjoyed this and was quite surprised with Kristen's acting.

The Pact 8/10 worth a watch but could have been scarier.
 
Snow White And The Huntsman 8/10 - The action is good and the storyline is good. I like how in depth they go with the Huntsman character. I dont like
that its the Huntsman's kiss that wakes Snow and not Williams.
 
the Rocky Horror Picture Show-7/10. The songs were enjoyable and Tim Curry was brilliant but, boy, was it weird!!! 😀
 
There Will Be Blood.

I've wanted to watch this, I guess my expectations were to high though cos I was pretty disappointed. It's not a bad movie at all, but I didn't really enjoy watching it. 3/5.
 
Rock of Ages

10 - This movie was awesome and full of brilliant music and a brilliant cast....If you love 80's/90's rock go see this movie 😀
 
Batman Forever - 7/10
I admit it's weird, but it's awesome!
People who say that this movie is crap and bad etc. didn't understand this movie.
 
Sherlock Holmes: Game of Shadows - 7/10
Not sure why this movie gets the flack I've heard it get. I found it entertaining and engaging. RDJ was pure brilliance as per usual.
 
The Iron Lady - 10/10

Meryl. Streep. That's all that needs to be said. The woman is brilliant in everything she does. Simply her being apart of a film makes it shine, and this was absolutely no exception. Loved it.
