It's a silly kids film. Does have some very funny moments in it. Simple and nonsensical plot, a bit irritating at times. Bonus point for featuring Time Bomb by Rancid.

I'm waiting for the postal delivery of the 2015 film Carrie, the Chloe Grace Moretz version, there is way more evidence of her telekinetic power being evident. I saw parts of it on You Tube.
I enjoyed her in Kick-Ass as Hit-Girl. Considering she was only 12 at the time she did good.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984) 7/10

Actually my second favourite of the series (after Raiders), its a utterly silly (racist too),but very entertaining b-movie. The opening scene is one of my favourite openings to any film. And lets face it who wouldn't try a bit of Monkey brains if they visited India?....

I remember when I watched the film Fallen, I remember of how the film ended (in theory)
I am still waiting for the ending of the film.
If I watch the film again and hope to see an ending, will that make me be a mad man?

The Hunt - 5/10

This film is supposed to be a political satire but it misses the mark a lot. The plot is very thin, the characters far too cartoonish to be ironic, the lead character is un-engaging and the violence is really over the top and feels out of place. I don't know, maybe I just didn't get it but it was a really underwhelming film for me.

The man in the Iron Mask
Blast from the past. I know I saw this in the movies in 1998 (because it was the 90's and it was law that teenage girls see all Leo Di Caprio movies once Titanic had hit the fan) and I think I liked it, but couldn't remember much. It still holds up. The set design doesn't. Some of the backgrounds look like they belong in a school play or something, at best. But the story is still cool, the ending a bit cheesy, but I loved re-watching this. A good time was had.

Jumanji: The Next Level - 6/10
I was pleasantly surprised by Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, so I was some what excited to see this movie. First off, I love this cast. I love Karen Gillan, Jack Black and Kevin Hart are hilarious and Akwafina does a good job here. Unfortunately, The Rock's Danny Devito impression is not great (it has it's moments) and I don't really like the "levels" in this movie, they're kind of lame. Also, there's too much time spent on the kids outside the video game world, in my opinion. It was nice to see The Hound from Game of Thrones in here. It was a fun movie, again Karen Gillan and Jack Black are a great pairing. I do hope they make a 3rd movie with this cast, but bring something new and not just retread Welcome to the Jungle, which I think this one did a bit too much. It might also work better if you watch the two back to back.

This film has the best soundtrack and characters and I think it's only hated because it was and is so popular.

JoJo Rabbit 9/10

A great film. Great acting by all the cast and it really shows how talented Taika Watiti is that he could take this particular subject and insert comedy into it without it ever being offensive. There are some heart-breaking scenes which you would expect given the subject matter but overall just see this film.

I watched an old film last night, how old was it, it also starred a young Ian Hendry. The film was The Children of the Damned.
Such a pleasant tale, just the sort of film to watch on a windy night with a trees branches tapping at the windows.
Good actor choice for all roles, good locations, and oh yeah the little boy coming back to life was well played.

The Strangers - 7/10

Genuinely unsettling and downright distressing at times, I was very impressed with this film. A little clunky in the beginning and I think they handed the main characters the Idiot Ball a few too many times, but overall a pretty solid exploration of psychological terror.

Beyond the Door (1974) 1/10

This cheap Exorcist rip-off might be one of the worst films I've ever seen. The dubbing, sound mixing and editing are some of the worse I've seen. The acting is awful and OTT, dialogue terrible. The effects and characters cartoonish. Its about as scary as a kids pantamine. The only thing that makes it worth watching is the potty mouth kid Gail with lines like "Oh yeah it was me I slugged him one" and "Sure Smackhead, sure"... Free for your viewing pleasure on Prime...
