Sharing the Bangel love...

I wasn't gonna post it here, but I figured I may as well. IF anyone is interested. Maybe someone will like. A few on tumblr did.

Basically I wrote a tumblr blog to run down my OTP. Anyone with a sharp memory recalls my post in similar Bangel pairings.

The recent post was to run down Cronet in detail -explaining why I, and possibly other fans, may ship such a pairing. I use Bangel as a comparison. But also, I contrast both with Spuffy, which I see as a toxic and destructive ship.

Since I am talking about 3 different ships, I had to condense Bangel a bit due to my complaints about Spuffy already being a tad long. lol If I went full on analyst mode, the post would be longer than anyone would have the attention span to read. And I used GIFs to show some of the toxic moments re Spuffy.

So it's an explanation on why I ship Cronet, how I see it as similar to Bangel, and contrasting genuinely sick bonds like Spuffy. I see Bangel & Cronet as difficult relationships, which is not the same as toxic, where I place Spuffy.

Why, why why is that still a thing in this day and age? When will this mentality of 'guy did x amount of things so he's owed/earned to get the girl' mentality die already? Gawd. And some of those weren't even couples. Do we also need to redefine that term?

I see it more as she seeing beyond the "obsession" of S5/S6 and realizing that he was a better men than she had originally thought. I love equally Bangel and Spuffy and I see merit in both relationships.
Buffy has a "relationship/would be relationship in almost every season:

Seasons 1-3 Angel (not counting the brief dates like Scott Hope)
Season 4- Parker and Riley
Season 5- Riley and kind of Ben
Season 6- Spike (Never said the relationship had to be a healthy one)
Season 7- Kind of Spike and a date with Wood

However, out of all of those, it's interesting that out of Buffy's "big" relationships (Angel, Riley, Spike), Angel is the only one she's emotionally connected to within the relationship. Season 6 Spuffy was purely physical, Briley is messy (It's physical but there is an emotional disconnect between them- though I think that is mostly Riley's fault), however Angel is the one Buffy is most emotionally connected to yet it is also her least physical relationship because of Angel's curse.

Basically, Buffy's best relationship is Angel.

Fear not! She did NOT delete it! It was a vid she shared while in Vegas, and she says she finally found something that interested her before pointing to him lol

YAY!!!! For Sarah's devotion to Bangel!!! And she does not hide or delete that love. lol
