Supernatural Thread: Volume 2 (Spoilers in this thread)

I like this idea. I'm hoping they go with this.

I don't think they will. What I've been getting off this entire arch is the theme of "While the cats away the mice will play". I think if God is introduced he will be pulling all his unruly "children" in line.

Anyone else getting a Dogma feel from this whole thing? When God is introduced I fully expect Alannis Morissette to play the role! lol

I can totally see them bringing God, and having God be the bad guy.
Lucifer's
plan is
the Croatoan Virus
so maybe God's will be to nuke the whole planet.

And don't forget, we still have
the anti-christ
to deal with, so maybe he's the next big bad?

But I am certainly not going to balk at the idea of bringing Matt and Ben in to play Bartleby and Loki, lol.

I'll be very sad if she doesn't 🙁 (And now I want to see Castiel's crotch, just to check if it's Barbie like Alan Rickman's, thank you very much, Kean D: )

GAH! Think happy thoughts! No one should have to think Castiel crotch thoughts!

I'm SO not a Mishawife, so I definitely have NO interest in seeing THAT, but Dean made that whole huge deal about not letting Cas die a virgin, surely if that was an issue, Cas would have just told him instead of going along with him? 'Cause, I mean, before that ep, I'd always thought that the Angels were like that anyway, lol.

Damn, you're right. You just destroyed that whole crossover thing I was starting to plan in my head :(
Kripke steps down as Supernatural showrunner.

So Sera Gamble will take over, but Kripke and Singer will still work closely with her. I'm not sure how I feel about this ::huh1::. I guess it's good that Kripke is still involved in some way.

Kinda figured that was gonna happen. It's been known since before the fourth season aired that Jared and Jensen were contracted for six seasons, but Kripke was only contracted for five, and Kripke always said that he had five years of stories to tell. But I can't see Jared and Jensen signing on for S6 if they weren't completely happy with the way the show was going to go. They care about the show too much.

Am I the only one not scared? Gamble has been ridiculously consistent on this show. I don't think we are gona get a Marti Noxon type situation like we got on Buffy Season 6.

I'm not really scared either. Strangely, I'm more scared about the future of Doctor Who under Stephen Moffat and I ADORE him.

I'm just gonna miss David Tennant!
LMFAO!

Today, I finally convinced my younger sister to watch Supernatural. So I handed her over season one and sent her on her merry way, ten minutes ago she burst into my room cussing me out. She is TERRIFIED! lol She got 3/4 of the way through the first episode and couldn't go anymore, the curtain in her room moved and she screamed like big ol' sissy man!

She just asked my parents if she could stay in their room tonight. She's 17!

:lmao:

You know, I find that ridiculously adorable, lol.

I showed my friend my new Alona Tal layout, and she said we need to get her to S2, so that she can see that woman with a gun in her hand. She's fallen for Jo before she's even seen her!!

The Miz has got nothing on me - I'M AWESOME!! :lmao:

Let's talk about...Ruby 2.0.

I'm honestly having hard time liking this character...am I supposed to? For one, the actresses' voice irritates me...it's too lispy. She's pretty, but I miss the original actress, Cassidy. I can't help but think that the writers purposely make most of the female character's unlikable. The only one I've ever really felt much for was Jo...and well, who knows what happened to her. What I love so much about this this is that it ISN'T for the most part about romance. It's pretty clear that Ruby and Sam are using each other under the pretense that they're "helping" one and other, and I don't like that.

The sexual relationship that is being revealed as happening between Sam and Ruby just seems...disturbing to me. It's not clear what her intentions are. On one level, she appears to care about Sam, after all, she did save his life - but why? But I can't help but think that the only reason she's around is to keep him "in check" because she knows he's an important player in the final battle or whatever. She's obviously infatuated with him. Their sex scene disturbed me very much. She's so manipulative! She's also not the best actress on the block. I also don't like how angry she is all the time...

Secondly, she has no concern for human life. She claims that she's doing a good thing by using her "socially conscious" body, but the only reason she left the previous one she was using was because Sam threatened to send her back to Hell if she didn't! She acts like she's "different" than other demons, but all of her "good" actions seem to have an agenda. Their relationship reminds me very much of Spuffy Season 6; Ruby's using him for sex obviously, she thinks he's super-hot, but I question if she really cares about him. By manipulating him into thinking that he's using his powers for good - to save people more easily - she's really just encouraging him to cross to the dark side. I totally agree with Dean's concerns regarding her. She can't be trusted.

I don't hate Ruby. I thinks he's a nice edition to Sam's ever-growing corruption, but I DEFINITELY question her intentions.

At this point, she'd have to do something amazing to redeem her character, in my opinion.

I never liked Ruby 2.0 I loved Katie Cassidy as Ruby and I miss her for sure!
This is why I think they replaced Cassidy with Cortese... I really don't see Cassidy being able to play Ruby this dark. Yes, she wasn't exactly squeaky clean in S3, but Cassidy was able to pull back that badness and make her likable. Cortese can't do that,
and I think that's what the writers wanted. They wanted Ruby to be darker, and less likable and it worked. I still loved S4 Ruby, I thought she was a really interesting character, but I think that about ALL the female characters, so maybe I'm just weird.

I don't think Ruby's using Sam for sex. I think she's using the sex, and other...things, (can't say too much, spoilers) to keep Sam coming back to her. She's scared if she doesn't give him what she thinks he wants and what he thinks he needs, that he'll run back to Dean and her plan will be shot, literally, to hell.

We're not really supposed to like Ruby in S4, which is a shame, because I think
Cortese did a good job, and I think she would have been a nice addition to S5, to have someone from the other side on their side, you know? It just pisses me off that they changed the character SO MUCH from how Cassidy played her.
It was a lot to get used to.

There is notthing that freaks me out more in Supernatural than creepy, evil children and people eating each other...until last night, when a creepy, evil child ate his father!

Scarred for life!

There was still body parts flopping around behind the couch when the sheriff turned the corner... if you had not covered your eyes like a GIRL you would have seen!

And how DARE you pfft me!

Yes, there were "body parts" left! CUZ HE ATE THE REST OF THEM!

And this is one instance when I am quite happy to cover my eyes and be a GIRL!
