x men 3: the last stand (contains spoilers for those who have not seen yet)

Ive seen it 3 times in the cinema so far..... And when I buy it I plan on watching it again and again... I mean ive lost count of how many times i have seen 1 and 2... I watch them all the time! :silly:

ditto dude, iv been watching 1 and 2 continasly for a month before 3 came out 🙂 and iv been bloody workin so only seen x3 once.... but im seeing it again this week 🙂 and when it comes out on dvd il be watching that repetadly too 😀

Lol, i haven't seen the first one in like forever, but I just watched the second one lats night, I really like that one, The part with Logan and Jean in the woods right by the ship, where they kiss thats my fav. part. Also, I like the part with Jean and Storm finding Kurt, Jean's all "Bored yet?" lol, although the third one is my fav. one. Do you think they'll make another one?

Yeah I have to say Beast was amazing, Excellently portrayed.

I'd say there might be a slight possibility it could get another one, I mean you can't ignore it's tremendous success in the box office, It is the highest selling movie ever in it's time of release. I doubt their gonna ignore results like that. And considering that the X-Men movies have only gotten better as they continued, I say it would be well worth doing!

Did anyone else think that they got better, Like I saw 1 and thought it was good, then saw 2 and was surprised that I liked it better then the first one, as that usually never happens, and then the third one was amazing and is now my favourite!

yeah, i definitely think they got better as they went along.
when i saw one, i was like 'hmm, good movie, not as good as the comics or cartoons, but still worth the entry fee.'
second: yeah, liked it a lot better...in fact, i loved it!
third: OMG! need to re-learn how to breath!

X-3 is seriously one of the best films i've seen in a while...Al mentioned something about an interview with Hugh and Halle, and they were saying that they'd be up for a fourth movie is the production company thought it was a good idea...but also, i think Wikipedea has something on there about two spinoffs...Wolverine and Magneto...could be wrong though, maybe i imagined it? lol

i think i'd rather have a fourth moive rather than a spinoff...having a fourth movie would give the writers a chance to bring in some of the characters we didn't see...like Gambit and Jubilee (i know she was in the movies, but she didn't have a big part)

yeah i agree defo got better as movies progressed 2 better than 1 and 3 hell of alot better than 2.

yeah id prefere a x men 4 rather to a spinoff movie... theyd have to include mutants into the spinoffs too though... cant have wolverine and a bunch of humans.... lol

I am watching an X-Men Special on SkyOne at the moment and Halle Berry, just said something like "If this does turn out to be the last movie, The fans will be pleased" And since that was said before it was released, before it's success, would that indicate that They were told if it was successful there was a possibility of another one? I think so!

i thought it was interesting that, out of all of them, Halle was the only one to say that, given the choice, she wouldn't want a superpower.

Unsure what the source is. I got this off another forum but here you go.

Despite the stupid title "X-Men: The Last Stand", Fox Head Tom Rothman has all but confirmed that there will indeed be an X-Men 4, and probably more after that as well. Now it's all well and good for him to say that now... but if X-Men 3 is a bomb (which we all know it won't be... even if it sucks) then those words will be quickly eaten.

So why the title "The Last Stand" then? Well, according to the good folks over at Movie Hole, Rothman offers the following explanation:
"It's the conclusion of this trilogy. These three movies work as a trilogy. These characters in this relationship, it's the culmination of that saga. It's the culmination and the resolution of those relationships laid out in the first two movies. That doesn't mean never, I would ever say never again, but I will say that this brings that saga to an end. It's quite the way the last Lord of the Rings, Return of the King, brought that trilogy to a conclusion in terms of those characters, that's what this movie does. It goes all the way back to the first one and rounds off and completes that three-part story".
Perhaps someone should tell Rothman that the end of the Lord of the Rings was indeed actually the end of the whole series. He might have missed that part.

So all this talk of "this is the end of THIS saga". This particular story line in X-Men is indeed finished... but there are more to come. Heck... the Wolverine spinoff is basically going to be X-Men 4 with a new title. Make no mistake... there will be MANY more X-Movies.

I personally still have major reservations about the next X-Men film... but my hope has risen over the last month. Let's hope it works out. Thus far the X-Men have been my favorite comic film franchise (yes, even more than Spider-Man) and I'd hate to see it go down the toilet.
