Allie said that Spike's not gonna let her fight. And Buffy gets mad. So I'm guessing she's not gonna fight, or will but against Spike's will.
But that doesn't necessarily mean sit out during the entire pregnancy.

She did have a job at the coffee shop, remember? But that is most likely minimum wage and doesn't provide health insurance. Hmm, I wonder if she'll get a job with the police? They left off on a not-terrible foot at the end of #4 and there was her earlier comment in #1 about the season 3 vocational testing (recommended police work). And they may realize how helpful she can be.
Sorry! I had no idea.I don't remember because I haven't read it, that's why I asked 😛
She cant work for the police department, if she's pregnant.
They will more than likely put her on a desk job. Which in time will bore her.
This doesn't bother me so much. Most women continue doing whatever it is they're doing before they get pregnant. And very active women continue their sports/activities for quite some time. Of course, her job is more dangerous than others, but I can still see her patrolling in the earlier months, especially with backup. And I wonder if her Slayer self-healing abilities will apply to the fetus. It's not quite an independent entity. It's dependent on her body for nourishment, growth, & protection.
And I am loling about the thought of shipping Buffy/the Master. Baster? Buffster? Masty? Musty?
I'm not sure but I am glad that it's happening.
I'm not offended about this storyline. It's unfortunate, & who wants to see Buffy unhappy? Of course we'd rather a pregnancy be a happy occasion for her with someone she loves. But it does happen.
But as to this one particular situation? It happens to a lot of people. I don't see her in a negative light because she had one single wild night.
I do kind of tire of Whedon's constant harping on the negative consequences of sex. It's like, who needs abstinence-only education? Have them watch a Whedon show! It's an immature perspective of sexuality.

And the last thing is continuous Veronica Mars references - if you saw the series ( I was only able to finish 1 st season but that was enough) the entire 1 st season 'mystery' was who took advantage of VM whilst she was black out drunk. Turns out that she had sex with her legit boyfriend who was also rufied. I won't be surprised if Buffy will be investigating her own pregnancy - only to find out she in fact was pregnant long before that party.
Other than that I will be very pissed if (1) she does not go to the doctor right away and have ultrasound to find out how far in she is, and (2) consider an abortion.
Um, no, it was another guy, Beaver, who raped Veronica.
Moscow Watcher I actually saw the series. Beaver did not touch her - after she sipped a spiked drink at the party she passed out , he only brought her to the guest room and left her there. Then her at the time boyfriend came in (after having a drink spiked with Rohypnol too - these kids were doing drugs and alcohol) and they made out both drunk and rophied.
Why would he outright lie like that? You've said this several times, although it was in reference to Allie before. What proof do you have that any of them have outright lied to readers? Mis-leads yes. That happened during the show. But out-and-out lies.Comments on this post
ladydorotea agrees: Yeah, but he might have lied. The only reference in the text itself was 4 months.
