My Thoughts on Bangel/Spuffy

I never wanted either. I thought and still do think Faith was the best love interest/character for Buffy

@Faded90 In S8 comic I never understood, why if Joss wanted Buffy to sleep with a woman he didn't have her with Faith rather than the more problematic choice of sleeping with 1 of her students. Then have everyone spending the rest of the issue say Buffy isn't gay ?

I think they wanted it a quick publicity seeking arc that they could move on from quickly hence the creation of Satsu who quickly exits stage right. If it’s Faith then it would be something they’d need to do follow up etc. I absolutely despise the comics this kind of showed the terrible story writing. Having everyone who isn’t Buffy falling over themselves to tell her what her sexuality is was just awful!

It's funny but at the time people were so excited for the comics. It was going to be Whedon unleashed without him worrying about Budgets and Actors. Yeah that didn't work out so well 😂

Yeah it turns out actor availability and budgets are a godsend in the TV Buffyverse 😂
