Which Characters Would You Trade for Those Who Kicked the Bucket?

Hmmm, well. I would definitely swap Wood for Anya, she went down fighting and proved how brave she really was. I would then swap Andrew for Xander's Eye, because come on, that sh*t was upsetting, I'd swap Kennedy for Tara, because I don't feel like Willow should be with Kennedy, Willow and Tara were made for each other. Oh and I would swap Rona, for Joyce. I have nothing against Rona, I'd just prefer if she had never been brought in. Maybe, just maybe, they could bring Joyce back in Season 11 or something... I hope she returns at some point, there MUST be a way, goddammit!
 
Jenny for Joyce - it would have made for a very compelling storyline and kept that horrid Bangel from degrading in S3 and souring me forever to the pairing, lol. But, really, taking away Buffy's mother, very interesting concept. I chose it for that, not cause I love Jenny more than Joyce, promise.

Buffy for Dawn - like a lot of others here, I would have love to have seen a S6 where Dawn made the sacrifice in The Gift, how that altered everything. Did they keep their memories or not? Did they only remember Dawn as she had been, from her arrival in Buffy vs Dracula? So many opportunities for interesting story telling.

Tara for Willow - ouch, so sorry (specially for the ass kicking WFB will give me) but again, the story telling aspect; Willow dies before she can fully redeem herself for her magical actions (but also without going fully dark, yay?) and now Tara, a much different person from her girlfriend, has to deal with the grief, watch the others grieve, try to take on the mantle of head witch for the gang, so much beauty to be told with this story.

(and a fun one for my silly heart) Spike & Anya for Angel & Wood - Buffy would give the amulet to Angel, knowing it would probably kill him, because she didn't want Spike to die (like I said, silly) and Wood would be paired with Andrew and slashed by that Bringer. (in this version, Amanda also survives and Kennedy dies 😀)
 
Faith for Kendra.
Andrew for Anya.
Eve for Lilah.
Dawn for Tara.
Spike for Fred.
Xander for the Mayor.

All of the Potentials for Jenny Calendar, Sunday, Miss Kitty Fantastico, Veruca...I'm sure I'll think of more.
 
I'd trade Kennedy, it can be for Redshirt #9 for all I care. Definitely bring back Tara though.

Oh. So I am so predictable now that you knew I would not be a fan of this.

I don't know. A part of me would get a kick out of watching all the characters mourn Willow and hate themselves for having been so hard on her. Buffy would be all like, "I was mad at her for taking me out of Heaven, but now I wish I had the power to do the same for her."

Warren would not get his comeuppance. That is not acceptable.

I read a story once where we visited an alternate reality where Willow was the one shot; Tara was in prison for killing Warren. The only difference was that she hadn't abused magic to do the deed 🙂

I think I prefer Tara dead than broken, if that makes sense. It would be awful to see her kill Warren.

I don't want her dead, I just think it would be interesting to see what would've happened had the tables been turned at the end of Seeing Red.
 
I've changed my mind. I'll gladly trade Kennedy for the poor mosquito that Buffy swatted in S4.
